My daughter and I stopped here for a late dinner on a Tuesday evening, around 8 o'clock p.m. There was plenty of open seating available, so we were seated right away, which was great as we were limited on time to get served and eat our meal. While the waiter came to us promptly to welcome us and ask us what we would like to drink, it then took a long time for him to return to get our orders, which seemed a bit odd as it was not overly busy.
Once we were finally able to place our order, the wait for our food was extra long, which was frustrating as this now made us late for our next engagement. When we were finally able to eat, I was sorely disappointed in my meal, which was a stir-fry. The flavor was very good, and the portion was just the right amount, the broccoli was barely cooked, nearly cold compared to the rest, and was bitter. Normally I would have said something, but because we had already waited long enough, and was overly hungry, I did not. Rather, I stirred it up better to absorb them into the rest, and ate it anyway. He also only returned to our table once to ask how things were, but did not return again, so getting refills on our drinks was out of the question.
Once we were finished and ready to get going, we once again had a hard time flagging our waiter in order to get the check and pay. It seemed that every time we saw him, he was too far away and not looking towards us, or he was completely out of sight. When he finally returned, we were able to get our check, but before I could hand him the cash, he disappeared again. It was well over 5 minutes before we were able to leave.
I normally love eating at this restaurant, but this experience was simply not a good one. Maybe it was just an off night, so I will most likely go back again, but based on this time, I can only give...
Read moreMy partner and I dined in on 10-25-24 a little after 9pm. Weâve dined here a couple times. One being a late afternoon and we had no problem. 2nd visit being an evening, my order being exactly same as previous visit. My order is the same if dining or take out Riblet with the sauce on the side, Iâm diabetic and with eating pork already I donât really want the sauce on my ribs; Mashed Potatoes; and Broccoli stemmed 3 times. My mashed potatoes were salty and broccoli were still hard. I told the waiter, she took my order back and the manager came out and apologized and told me me that the potatoes are prepackaged and came salted. This to me as not being true because they tasted as salt had been added to them.
On 10-25-24 my partner and decided to come back. We placed our orders, again me ordering riblets with the sauce on the side; mashed potatoes this time stating no salt; broccoli stemmed 3 times. When my food arrives, had sauce on my riblets. I pointed out to waiter and he said that I didnât mention the no sauce, with no apology. I was actually going to let it go until I was about to eat and noticed that my broccoli had not been steamed as I had ordered. The manager came over. She apologized and replaced the food but when I receive my food, my partner had already finished eating and when we received the bill, it showed I was charged for the riblets and compensated for an order and then charged.
Itâs crazy cause I used to eat here all the time and then have all these problems. I ordered the same order. There was no problems. Been going...
Read moreThis was the second time I gave Applebeeâs a try at this location. The first time the server was snooty and rude this time today the dishes were NOT CLEAN, food was super undercooked where the blood was on the plate. The server petite Caucasian long brown hair, her personality reminded me of Cruella off of Dalmatians. She didnât smile, she rolled her eyes. I donât know her name because she didnât have a name tagg on. When the server brought out my husbands and I plate she threw it in front of the manager. The manager didnât say nothing. The chicken Alfredo they brought my daughter the plate has Alfredo sauce and food stuck to it. The manager said, The cook wears gloves so that may be whyâŚâ My response to her was I work in hospitality I know what presentation is suppose to look like, taste like and feel like. This is my second time complaining Maple grove and Fridley location really need some hospitality and customer service refresher courses. I will be happy to teach a class. Didnât get a chance to take pic of food because at this point I had lost my appetite. Moving forward a bit of advice for the WHOLE STAFF or cooperation is to treat your guest how you would treat the people you love. You never know what guests that come in the restaurant are going through or how the day has been going. To be treated so poorly is an insult especially when people are spending their hard earned money. Which helps YOU earn a living. Food...
