Mochinut — Restaurant in Maplewood

My family and I are so thrilled that the Mochinut in Maplewood is now open. We went for lunch & each tried the original mozzarella and Thai Bubble Tea. We also had mochinut donuts. The ube is my absolute favorite!!! The Macha with the dark chocolate dipped cookie stick was very good as well. I am typically not a Macha person, but this mochinut donut was delicious. The 3rd one we tried was like a caramel cream. It too was very good, a bit too sweet for me but tasty. There are so many other items we want to try, so we will definitely visit again. The customer service is AMAZING as well. The only ding, I guess I could make, is that there is not a lot of seating, and it gets quite busy. The seating that is available consists of like a long booth along the outer wall, with small round tables and tiny chairs. The chairs, to me, are not going to hold up to use. That would be my only criticism, just the seating. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the food or the service. Prices are $$ out of $$$...

Cool vibes and good food. I really like the lunch special of a Korean corn dog, bubble tea, and a mochi donut. The potato dog is particularly good. My only complaint is recently the donut recipe seems to have changed and while still good, it tastes a little less mochi now and frosting seemed like it was just put on and still dripping off because it hadn't dried on it yet. The donuts were still good, just not as exceptional as their previous recipe. I assume maybe they had to adjust due to terrifs impacting ingredient availability, so I'll cut them some slack for that. Someone had left a coupon in the break room at work and I love mochi doughnuts so I decided to check it out. I love these Korean novelty foods. They're fun to eat and the flavors are exciting! The shop is super cute, though there is limited seating. They have kiosks for ordering but the person behind the counter saw that I had a coupon and offered to take my order personally so that they could handle the discount. I got a box of three mochinuts--strawberry, pistachio, and tiramisu. I used half of the strawberry one to decorate a cake, ate the other half, and gave the other two away. Rave reviews all around! Will definitely come back and try the other stuff the next time I'm working...
