𤮠I've been coming here since I was a little girl with my mom and grandma. Today I ordered the shrimp fried rice for pickup. As soon as I started eating it, I realized the fried rice was good, but the shrimp itself was mushy throughout and had a very strange urine/ammonia like essence to it. I have never experienced this before. I've been eating shrimp my whole life. I turn to google and discovered that this ammonia like flavor and the fumes in my throat was because the shrimp was spoiled! I went back to the restaurant and kindly spoke with the owner. He was RUDE! I returned the large container of poison back to him & he shamed me for eating the few bites I did before realizing it was rotten! He pointed to the sign that read "All sales are final" and refused to offer any type of solution. He did NOT care one bit that he sold me poisonous shrimp and that I may get sick. He said, "If you get sick, go to the hospital!" (I'm hoping I didn't eat enough to actually get sick.š I have a funeral to attend for my grandmother who just passed away two days ago.) This really isn't about the $16.25 I spent. It's the principle- the fact that he is okay with ripping me off like this, so careless, and I can no longer trust this establishment's quality control, food safety/sanitation or to honor their commitment to only sell food to our community that is safe for human consumption.
Sad they would rather lose a recurring customer than to do the...
Ā Ā Ā Read more"Sum Ting Wong" with this place. Maybe you can go there a few times and give them your business and find out. They seem to be very inconsistent with the quality of their food, which is worrisome to me. I was hoping they would have been a little better, but i'm just more picky when it comes to my food. Big communication barrier for the average person who goes in there to order food. Maybe it's a lack of competition, but I have seen people walk out of that place without even getting any food. They stay in business, so people must like to go there. But what the heck, people like McDonald's too. Based on what the average consumer would deem as acceptable, i'm going to give these guys three stars, instead of two. I might go back there to get some fried rice to go, but if they screw that up again, it will be my last time. Good luck if you decide to venture to Yin Yang for your next meal, because you never know if your going to get the Yin...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave driven by Yin Yang many times over many years and then finally stopped in for the lunch buffet. I wish I would have driven by one more time.
There is no longer a lunch buffet so if you guess wrong and end up with a bad dish, it's your bad luck. And judging from the 4 plates we ordered, the cooking here is just bad; there likely is no signature dish that shines.
The kung pao chicken I ordered consisted of a few chicken shreds, onions and celery, and 5 peanuts swimming in a bland dark brown sauce. It was sided with cold yellowish rice with what I presumed was an egg chunk or two. Apparently that's their version of fried rice.
The chicken wings were misshaped like they had been cleaved from mutant chickens and had an odd underlying sourish flavor and fried with a bland crust.
Despite being the only ones in the place at 12:30, and now we know why, service...
