Well first of all I have been sending these guys customers for years, and I really haven't had any problems until recently. First of all just about everything there is over-priced, I knew this going in and bought a paintball gun from them with the intention of supporting a local business. Bought a gun I liked and because I needed a tank I also got a CO2 tank. Came to find out later (while at a paintball event on my birthday) after firing a few rounds the day before, the gun was leaking air. So I brought it back and they said they fixed it a few days later under their "make it right guaranty". I took their word for it and it sat in it's box for a week before I went back out again. I was leaking worse than before at that time. So I went back again and since they said there was no way for me to get the same gun (along with the fact they give no refunds regardless of the circumstances) I exchanged for a new one that was different. Went out that weekend to play with it. And the bolt jammed and wouldn't feed after a few rounds in, so we went back again they said they would try to fix it and get back to me. Got the gun back yesterday and I had to pay for it's repair. The reason: the gun had been taken apart and the bolt was put in backwards (didn't even think that was possible) causing it to break and that was why it didn't work and they said I did it so it voided my warranty through them, they said they could prove it because I left tool marks on the gun. But the problem is that I actually never took the gun apart telling me it was a manufacturing defect and the "tech" is a some how mistook something as tool marks, or I am not the original owner of this "new" gun. Regardless I wont be going back due to all of the issues I have had with them, along with the fact I was called a liar. Granted the Kids who run the shop are reasonable and friendly though some of them lack some knowledge of the things they sell (after they said CO2 was good to use with the guns I bought I read in their manuals that CO2 would actually damage the gun so I ended up selling the tank and buying a new Oxygen one). If I was to recommend where to go if I were you I would check out either air assault paintball in Maple Plain, splat ball in Minneapolis, or CC Military Surplus, LLC in Brooklyn park (place of the same name but a different crew running it and I have had fewer issues there, granted they are also over priced). Thanks...
Read moreMy poor girlfriend has been dealing with fumbling stuff/clumsy lunchbags for work, and I had enough. Little google search on a visit to the Twin Cities, and found a REAL military surplus store! The staff was not just friendly & helpful... but APPROACHABLE and helpful. They pulled bags from every nook & cranny, even their own personal ones from the vehicle, to show her/try out/etc. And she found the perfect "lunch box" that if needed can turn in to a killer go-bag. After spending a weekend being talked to like we were "evil, meat eating, breeders", being blatantly stalked by staff at stores like I was a potential shoplifter while Somali and espanol' were stepping on my feet, pushing & shoving, tossing merchandise everywhere... disrespectful attitudes & treatment everywhere from staff, other shoppers, and the occasional 60 year old woman in yoga pants painted up trying to be a 20 year old glaring at me like I was going to steal her purse... we walk in the door at CC and immediately got a "Hi there. How you doing? Anything we can help you find?", we were in complete shock. Seriously: after a weekend of not being able to find ANYTHING that wasn't covered in glitter, unicorns, "Feminist AF" tank tops, skanky belly shirts, skinny pants... to walk in to this place and get treated like a man and have his girlfriend treated with respect was just great. You fellas on the 11/26/17 afternoon staff deserve a raise. Thank you SO MUCH for treating us with respect, courtesy, and the 110% helpful info.
We got home seven hours later, and she unpacked her p.o.s. bag to load up & adjust her new "lunch box". Gone from a Charlie Foxtrot to a high speed mofo. Thanks again, gentlemen! Will see you again next...
Read morePrior to writing this review...as a curious human; I had to read previous reviews...both good & bad. I was disheartened to read the bad ones since i absolutely had the opposite experience! So it wasfirst time I have ever visited any Military Surplus store. I've passed this store wanting to check it out for literally YEARS! Finally I had a spare 10 minutes while driving by yesterday so I decided to check it out. Granted, I've never been in the military myself so I basically had questions about every single item in the store! Thankfully I ran into the perfect employee; Chris. Not only was he knowledgeable about every item in the place, but he was excited to answer my questions... even on items I clearly wasn't going to purchase. He knew his stuff...which had I not googled it all after leaving the store with the info Chris had given me...he could have been rambling nonsense for all I KNEW! But he wasn't! It the time I was browsing the store, I thought things seemed procey...but after looking online, with addition to shipping prices & considering tonline there wasn't a friendly "Chris" to answer all questions... their prices are on point if not less than online! I hope I can make it back this evening before they close now that I'm regretting not making a few additional purchases! I can't speak with a military background but for me this was the most pleasant small business I have visited in years. I will definitely be back; Hopefully yet tonight before they close! Thank you Chris for...
