I keep meaning to write a review of Maplewood Tobacco, ever since my third or fourth visit. Every time I leave the shop I think to myself, âYeeshk... I need to write a review and get the word out that if you are in need of a tobacco shop, you MUST go here.â Then life gets in the way and by the time I get home, I forget. But not this time. After my experience tonight, I HAVE to finally sit down and write this.
I started frequenting Maplewood Tobacco in January, and I have never left the shop dissatisfied with the service. When I was new to vaping, and still trying to figure out what I liked, they let me bring back bottle after bottle of juice; to add this or that, or completely replace it (even when almost half of the juice was gone, theyâd give me a whole new bottle at no charge if I didnât love it). A couple different times I purchased packs of coils, but the pack had coils that wouldnât screw in; I thought it was defective coils- but now I believe it was the actual vape mod (more in next paragraph about that), and every time I brought in the broken (so I thought) coil, theyâd just replace it at no additional charge.
Tonightâs experience was 100% top notch. I purchased a new mod in early May, and from the start I had a few issues with it; it would randomly leak even when everything was set up correctly, then the coils wouldnât screw in (see previous paragraph), and random error messages would pop up for seemingly no reason. In hindsight, I should have brought it back much earlier than I did... Yesterday it started saying âBattery Highâ and completely stopped working. I would wait, change the battery, restart it, I tried changing the coil, basically everything a quick google search said to do. Then it started working again, then the same error message and not working. I was frustrated to say the least. So, even though itâs been almost 5 months since I purchased it, I brought it back. I wasnât expecting them to let me return it, but I was hoping they could help me figure out the problem and know how to fix it. I went in right before they were closing, and the very friendly young man (I wish I knew his name, but I forgot to ask! He had curly blondish hair in a ponytail) at the counter listened to me, looked at the mod, tried to figure it out, but also wasnât sure why it kept saying âBattery High.â A few minutes into the employee trying to figure it out, the owner (I believe his name is Moe?) walked in. We showed him the issue, he looked at it, tried a couple things, but also wasnât able to fix the issue. So he told his employee to exchange it! He said, âSheâs not going to lose any money on this... give her an Aegis Max (by Geek Vape).â And that was that. They took my old mod back, and gave me the new one at no additional charge... nearly 5 months later! I was stunned! Flabbergasted! Completely, 100% shocked! And surprised (pleasantly surprised)!
If every business gave the same superior service, I would never have another complaint ever again! Iâve never shopped at any other Tobacco shop, and I feel like I never need to... why go anywhere else when I receive such amazing customer service? Pre-Covid 19 I had the same couple of employees helping me at every visit, and I thought they were just treating me like a loyal customer... but since shops were able to reopen, it seems like I see new employees every other time I am there... yet I STILL have the same superior service. Donât like the juice? No problem, we will fix it. Coil not working? Hereâs a new one. Mod you bought 5 months not working right? Weâll exchange it. Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
My only, teeny complaint (wonât mean much to anyone new)...while the new employees are fantastic... I miss Adel! He made my juice flawlessly, I wish he was still there!
This was a long, rambling review! If youâre still reading.... Bottom line; if you need a tobacco shop, look no further. This is where you want to go. Great juice, great products (if not... theyâll fix it!). But above all, the reason to shop here is the friendly, above and beyond...
   Read moreI absolutely love coming to this place. I always look forward to seeing the dogs. There's sometimes 1 sometimes there's 2, but one of them is super super big and fluffy. So cute always gives me a smile and helps me to look forward to Going Out to get my swishers. Or my vapes also, might I add? That they probably have the biggest selection of vapes that i've ever seen. They also have a lot of different pieces. That range from low end on the price scale To some really absolutely beautiful unique and expensive pieces as well. Not just that, but every time I've ever been in there. Everybody is always super happy and in a good mood. And that's always something. I look forward to when I shop there. I guess the only downside is that any time. I come inside with my husband like they kind of follow him around the store and like ask him if he needs help over and over again but I mean, he does look like a thug so I get it but it is every single time that I bring him in there with me. Awesome service as always And will continue to be my go to shop! Love the store. And I have tried my hardest to find any tobacco shops and other cities that were anything like it and it I always come back to this one. Their staff are very nice and knowledgeable they have such a big variety of choices of everything and they have never been out of any particular kind of things that I usually buy there. I actually bought a Vape from a different store in Edina then went back to the store just to find out that I paid $25 more than they sold the same thing for so I took that back and brought it back there and ended up spending a couple hundred more dollars these people are awesome And if youâre lucky you will get to see you there...
