So they were open this past 4th of July. "Great!" I thought. When I pulled into the drive-through, there were NO cars in the lot, NO cars in the drive-through, and NO cars behind me. "Even better!" I thought. To boot, it was around 7, so there was no way I was going to get the 30-min-to-close/ last drop of the night fries that are rock solid 5 minutes after you drive away! All things pointed in my favor, and then i got my order... There were at least 2 people inside, possibly a third, and NO OTHER CUSTOMERS, yet SOMEHOW these people managed to serve me something that looked like the box literally came out of a washing machine. I clearly interrupted their social time with my silly customer business. How utterly careless and LAZY do you have to be to serve up an embarrassment such as this??? The two halves were fused together by the cheese because the top of one half (on the bottom) was just folded up and crammed in one corner of the box and the second half of the sandwichwas tossed on top of that. When I tried to separate the slop and reassemble it, the bottom of one half (on top) tore, leaving a half covered grilled cheese burger. It's really not that hard, people. When you put two cut halves of a sandwich in a box, especially one with sticky contents, you SEPERATE them with the wax paper you use in the fry baskets! It's called a "TO-GO order" get it??? That implies MOVEMENT. And being that I was literally the only customer, you'll can't possibly explain this poor quality with staffing issues or time crunch or even rushed orders.. it's crap for customer service, period. Done with this place. Refuse to award franchise owners who employ such...
Read moreThis is the first time I’ve been to Freddie’s in a while and I was quite disappointed @ the changes they’ve made. The rye bread used for the patty melt was thick, very dry and more “toasted” than grilled. However, what really disappointed me was my pecan turtle sundae. The turtle sundae used to have whole pecans just like pictured - tonight I had crushed nuts that I believe may have been walnuts - I’m honestly not sure. My husband ordered a brownie concrete and was given sundae - he just took it anyway as the person who made our ice cream admittedly was confused and having a tough time. He came to our table and apologized for forgetting our order (my husband had taken our ticket up for our prepaid ice cream order - We had ordered and payed for our ice cream with our food. When the person with our ice cream we just took it as it was late and we had been waiting for a while. Unfortunately this experience disappointed me immensely. I love Freddie’s and always get the same thing a patty melt and pecan turtle sundae. I guess I’ll go to the competition for my pecan turtle sundaes as they still use whole pecans on their pecan turtle sundaes not crushed whatever kind of nuts were used tonight …. With the price increases I expect @ least the same quality of food that Freddie’s has...
Read moreI came here with my grandmother who is extremely allergic to eggs and poultry, so she is very careful to look at ingredients when going to new places. Unfortunately, the ingredients aren't available on the website because it's a franchise and different stores get their ingredients from different places (I.e. buns from a local bakery). So, we went in and she asked if they had an ingredient list, but they didn't. But the guy at the register was awesome. He went to the back, and checked the ingredients on the bun and bread packages to make sure they were without eggs. He also made sure they cleaned the grill before cooking our meal so the chicken allergy wasn't a problem. I was also having trouble deciding whether or not to get the grilled onions on my patty melt because I'm a picky eater, so he offered to get them on the side for me. After all that, he even delivered our meal to us. AWESOME SERVICE. Shoutout to Ben. The food was good as well. I loove their fries. They are thin, and seasoned. So they have flavor and don't taste like a clump of potato. I like them better than Culver's thus far and will...
