Tip: Goto the nearby Subway or Jimmy Johns if you are craving a sub. Avoid this location.
Upon entering the store, I was neither greeted nor even given eye contact by any employee. 4 of which were standing at ready to make food. There were only 3 customers in line which had all seemed to be helped.
My order was not in the pickup area so I decided to be patient as I understand that estimated times are not completely accurate. After standing for a few minutes with nothing said to me, I sat at the closest table to the cashier with eyes forward waiting for my order. Approximately 5 minutes later, another individual came in and was greeted, asked for a name and then told their order would be ready shortly. This individual received their order in a few minutes. During this time there was 2 pickup orders completed but not in the pickup section. Sitting behind a cashier with crutches who just looked down and ignored everything and everyone with an angry expression on his face.
I proceeded to wait an additional 8 minutes and now being over 30 minutes post order, I decided to interrupt another person in checkout line and low and behold, one of those completed orders sitting there behind the cashier (not anywhere near pickup section) was my completed sandwich! Now I have been completely ignored, my order already completed without any way to retrieve it(after I had paid online) and no words whatsoever, just a "here ya go".
A bit frustrated but understanding of the situation, I leave the restaurant in order to eat in my car due to the sticky tables covered in crumbs.
I was met with a crushed flattened sandwich that had clearly been smushed. The bread, turkey, provolone, and mayo were there. Now, expecting there to also be salt, tomato, red vinegar, banana peppers, oregano, and pickle I was met with no salt, vinegar or oregano, a single half slice of tomato on one portion, with two pickle slices, and one single lonely banana pepper slice in the wrapper, but not on the sandwich itself. Ah yes, my honey mustard I requested twice, it was nowhere to be found.
Being the first time I have ever decided to try Jersey Mikes, I must say that the food is industry standard on par with the other chain sub shops, but the customer service and incorrect order to that degree is a clear sign to stay far clear of not only this location, but Jersey...
Read moreWow. This was certainly an experience.
After seeing ads to get a free sub after signing up for their rewards program, I was interested to take Jersey Mike's up on it's aggressive advertising campaign in town promoting fresh, tasty subs. As a guy who loves his sandwiches, a free sub sounds like a great way to give a new chain a chance.
After doing some research on the numbered menu akin to Jimmy John's, which is an shop I'll order from in acts of desperation only given the local options that are absolutely amazing, I decided to try the #26 chicken bacon ranch cheese steak.
Ordered my sub, and my girlfriend ordered her sub after a recommendation of the expeditor.
After she gets to choose her toppings, and redeems her own free sub, I'm left confused as five customers close out their orders in front of me. Finally give the cashier and expeditor a glance of "uhh help?," and discover my order never made it on the line.
Ultimately, my sub was comped for the mixup and delay (now a 20min wait), which was appreciated after offering to use the coupon I had.
The sub itself, well, was absolutely horrid. Unseasoned and obliterated chicken, thinly sliced cheese beyond the point of flavor, a dash of lettuce and two tomato slices on a bland roll. The bacon was ok by pre-cooked standards, but overall, this sandwich was bland, and of a texture I can only describe as a slurry of disappointment.
Definitely would not have enjoyed paying $8+ for the "regular" version of this atrocity of a sub. Definitely do not recommend over any other chain or...
Read moreI work down the street, so I come by this JM location often. Their workers are always kind and the food is great.
But, after tonight, I knew I had to leave a review: I came in about 15 minutes before closing tonight because my family just got back into town from vacation, and I didn't want to cook. There were a few other customers still there eating, one guy in front of me in line, and two employees (one making food, one sweeping the floor)
Then, all of a sudden, the guy in front of me lost his mind - he started yelling at the other guests and the employees - I've never seen anything like it - guy went from 0 to 10 in seconds. The employees were being really kind and tried to respond well, but he got more upset and threatened to fight one of the employees. It was ok at all, so myself and another guest (who was a big dude) spoke up, and the guy left yelling.
The employee who was threatened took a moment to gather himself, and then just moved right in to asking me what I wanted. We (the customers) tried to offer them some calm and assurance - it really sucks that random dudes take their anger out on folks in customer service who don't deserve it. Honestly, it was kind of a scary situation, especially to folks as young as the ones who were working tonight, but they handled it really well and kept a bad situation from getting worse.
I made sure to tip extra well, and I might drop by tomorrow to put a good word in to the management - I hope they are taking good care of...
