I'm a little picky: I like plain cheeseburgers. When I go to a Wendy's, I usually order the same meal in the drive-thru: Son of Baconator combo, no ketchup, no mayo, well-done bacon, Sprite to drink. It's a bit specific, so I expect a slip-up every so often, and the quality of Wendy's food and service tend to vary widely by location.
This location has ALWAYS done my order right. It was always hot, no mayo, no ketchup. The bacon's the part that most other locations get wrong, but this Wendy's always gave me bacon that had been cooked exactly right: between crumbly and crunchy (I can't stand the limp, soggy, stringy bacon that I get at other locations).
This location really left an impression, because so many other Wendy's locations either mess up a lot, or don't even care about getting your order right. At other locations, I'll get lukewarm burgers drenched in ketchup and mayo with the floppiest, saddest bacon I've ever seen, sometimes completely missing cheese. Other locations' fries will be stale, lukewarm and overly salted, and their sodas are often flat.
Again, not so with this location. Kudos to the staff and their dedication to paying attention to special requests! I'm sad that I moved so far away from them; my new local Wendy's (at Speedway and Campbell) is...
Read moreWendy’s is one of the more underrated fast food joints out there. The menu offers a solid mix of classic comfort food and some fresher, more modern options. The burgers—especially the Dave’s Single or Double—have that fresh, never-frozen taste that sets them apart from the typical fast food fare. And let’s talk about the spicy nuggets—crispy, flavorful, and way too easy to crave.
The fries have improved a lot over the years, especially when they're hot and fresh, and dipping them in a Frosty? Come on—that’s a legendary combo that hits every time.
Service can vary depending on the location, but overall, Wendy’s tends to have faster drive-thru times and better customer service than some of the competition. The app is user-friendly and worth downloading for deals and mobile ordering.
Salads and baked potatoes are a nice touch if you're trying to eat lighter without giving up flavor. Plus, the seasonal items (like the peppermint Frosty or breakfast croissant sandwiches) keep the menu interesting.
All in all, Wendy’s delivers quality fast food with more variety than you might expect. It’s reliable, flavorful, and a step above your average...
Read moreUpon pulling up to the empty restaurant, I was rushed at the drive-through window, unable to order accurately. All I wanted, was to add a medium size drink when I pulled up to the service window. They refused to do so, stating the manager said from such our to such our they weren’t doing add-ons so basically if he says he doesn’t want to sell french fries that day that’s his Choice and our consequence? strange. I asked to close the transaction and just order a medium drink while I was there. They said no I would have to drive around the empty restaurant once again ultimately they close the window on me and thought it was funny. I was never once rude or condescending in anyway. But I know this much as a small business owner. I would never allow my employees to dictate the narrative of how customers get treated. That’s not their business they work there, and not to be implementing nonsense at any given time of the day. Low ambition atmosphere is the real problem. The kid at the actual drive-through window they had a deliver. The stupid message was cool, but the guy with the green hair really showed us why he...
