I have to admit, I did not have high expectations for a Mexican restaurant on Marco Island. This place was AMAZING and deserves more stars. We ended up coming here after the original place we were going to for dinner was temporarily closed. Didn’t feel like driving and decided to eat here, which shared the same parking lot. I ordered the Blackened Shrimp Tacos and they were PHENOMENAL! The shrimp was extremely flavorful and seasoned to perfection. the sauce paired perfect with them as well. My husband ordered the Surf and Turf Quesadilla and said they loaded it with meat. He was a happy camper. We kept commenting on how amazing our entrees were throughout the dinner. We feel in love with the JW Marco Island Resort and plan on revisiting soon. So happy we found a great place to eat at- I would definitely check this place out

we come down to Marco island all the time. Since we got in early this morning we just wanted some simple close Mexican and we had been to Nacho Mama’a before for a late night taco and it was pretty good. However, when we went today the restaurant was not only dirty, but also the food was mediocre at best. The cheese sauce had no flavor and was extremely runny. All of our food came out very cold, and on top of that my sister’s quesadilla (chicken and cheese) came out soggy and “wet”. My sister said it was the worst thing she had ever tasted. The shredded chicken was wet and unpleasant. The prices also do not match the quality. On a positive note, our waitress was very understand and took the quesadilla off the bill. never will be returning.

If I could give no stars I would. I’m typing this while sitting here for over 30 minutes with my crying baby waiting for my check. My friends food was cold when it came out. She told one of the waitresses, all she had to say was “okay” grabbed the plate and walked away without asking if she wanted to replace it or anything. My blackened tacos were NOT blackened. My actual waitress was talking to us like she just had a breakup and is taking it out on us. The queso was white block cheese melted, but not even melted…. Like at all. My daughters pretzel was the size of her head and under cooked. I guess if you’re not a white drunk you won’t feel comfortable at all eating here with your biracial family.

Food was okay, but service was bad. I understand being busy, but received the bare minimum from the server. It started out fine where our party of 3 had water and I ordered a margarita. We also ordered an appetizer and got all of that pretty fast. After that, things went downhill. We sat for a long time before the server came back and took our order. Our waters were empty and she told us she'd be right back with more. We waited and someone else brought us food. We asked them for more water, but they said our server would help us. I managed to eventually get our server's attention and they said they'd bring it right out to us, but we waited another 15 minutes with nothing. Eventually I managed to get someone from the host station to bring us some water. My margarita had also been empty for quite a while and I wanted to order another one, but our server never even checked on us to see how our food was. We sat there with all of our plates empty and stacked up for quite some time before she finally appeared with our check which I gave her a card right away. Normally I tip well, but in this scenario I didn't leave any tip at all. 2 days later when the transaction had finalized on our credit card statement, it was exactly $10 higher than the amount I paid. I went back into the restaurant and spoke to the manager who was very helpful and refunded the $10. My guess is that the server wrote a 1 in front of the 0 I had put on the tip line. Keep your receipts and keep an eye on your bank and credit card statements to make sure you're not taken advantage of. I wanted to give this place a second chance when it wasn't as busy, but no...

Although we were seated right away (but not socially distanced, seated in a booth right next to a large party, more on this in my review), but waitress took a long time to come and ask for our drink order. Drinks came but Kathleen dropped them and immediately left and didn't return for another long period of time, and it was Sunday night not super busy. When Kathleen finally came back to take our order, we inquired about some menu options but she seemed annoyed and answered by saying them "beef, chicken or pork all tasted very different", gee thanks for that insight. FYI, chips and salsa are an appetizer item, not free, so although only a few dollars, you pay for it, and just okay. Kathleen never came back to let us know our food was taking longer than normal or to see if we needed a refill on soda's or water, we had to go walk up to the bar to get those. Food finally came, barely warm, and not good.

Overall I would not eat here again and would not recommend anyone to eat here. Maybe the positive reviewers don't eat Mexican food very often to think this food is good, but you can get better Mexican food at Taco Bell.

The manager and bartender were not wearing masks and the manager was hugging some of the regulars upon their departure who were also not wearing masks. It didn't feel right the manager, who was moving all throughout the restaurant to not be wearing a mask. The tables outside were not spaced apart and all were full, inside there were seating every table, not leaving any table empty between. Bad service, bad food, they don't care about their customers at all, unless you...

I had high hopes for this place given the quality of neighboring restaurants. But they did not come close to living up to my expectations. The hostess said she would be able to seat us immediately, which was great. Then she walked us around the inside looking confused and didn’t seem to know where to seat us. Finally she found an empty table and we were seated. We ordered 2 (different) margaritas which were really good and just what we both wanted. Our server, GoGo, was very nice but rarely checked in with us after ordering. We had to keep flagging him down. We ordered a plate of Nachos for an appetizer. They came out very basic and nothing exciting at all. A small amount of guac and sour cream on top. For dinner, we ordered a Taco Salad with no meat, Baja Tacos (they highly recommended) and a shrimp and scallops burrito. The Taco Salad was very simple with only a small amount of black beans in the bottom and lettuce. We had to ask for salsa, sour cream and guac to try to spice it up a bit. My (3) tacos come out with one large price of fish ( the fish was good) laying across 3 flour tortillas. No sauce or anything else. I asked for a side of chipotle Mayo and used the limes from our margaritas which helped a bit. The burrito came as two small poorly wrapped burritos that were decent, but no better than I would make at home in 5 minutes. We watched the entire wait staff using bare hands to scoop ice for guests beverages without using ice scoops. And there were fruit flies flying around us the entire time. Unless something drastically changes here, we will not...
