La Parrilla Rotisserie & Grill — Restaurant in Margate

I have been here about a dozen times over the last three years, and mostly have enjoyed dining at this location. One time I ordered whole fried fish but did not really like it - however, it was a matter of personal taste preference and not of food quality. The chicken fried rice here is better than many Chinese restaurants, with more actual chicken and a nice surprise of fresh sweet pepper chunks mixed in. The rotisserie chicken combo with yellow rice & beans, fried plantains and a beverage are also one of my favorites. Just one tip-try not to salt the chicken too much, which happens occasionally. Also, I would not order empanadas here - not the greatest, but I do not think it is their specialty, and the menu has so many other options. The last time I ate there a couple of days ago, and the skin on the chicken was perfectly crisp and browned, perfectly cooked and just enough salt. Huge servings, so there are leftovers for at least another full meal from every entree. These folks are very accommodating and provide doggie bags for leftovers. Aside from the additional charges for any changes to the menu, which felt excessive (even for a different drink), I was also surprised by the high fees when paying with a card. This made me feel uncomfortable and undervalued as a customer.

As for the atmosphere, the music was so loud at 12 pm that it felt more like a party than a restaurant. It was impossible to enjoy a meal in peace. Additionally, the ripe plantains I ordered were too hard, almost inedible.

What was most unfortunate was the restaurant owner's response. Instead of offering an apology or trying to improve, they responded aggressively and without basis, falsely accusing me of attempting to pay with a stolen card. This was completely unfounded and inappropriate, leaving a poor impression of their professionalism.

The rating this restaurant has online does not reflect the actual quality or experience offered. For all these reasons, I would not recommend this...

Absolutely HORRIBLE service. This is my second and final bad experience with this restaurant. It is 9:05pm and we placed our order for delivery at 7:30pm. At 8:30pm we called to check the status of our order and was told it was on its way. At 9:05pm I called back and was told "Oh yea about that it will be there in 10 minutes". Are you serious? These people haven't the slightest idea on how to provide excellent customer service. If the delivery is going to take longer than expected A call the customer and inform them of the situation practice good communication or B don't say it's on its way and let 45 minutes pass without it arriving. 40 dollars for meals for three. I much rather drive down to pollo tropical and spend half that amount and get double...
