MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Maricopa

I am so glad to find this restaurant in town.  I have been looking for a place that serves decent salads (and entrees) here, but most restaurants provide a limited variety of greens and flavors.  By chance, I found MOD yesterday.

We placed our first online order from MOD and picked it up around 6pm. The young, tall man at the pickup area was very nice and courteous. Since it was our first time at the restaurant, we decided to sit at a table to get a feel for the food and atmosphere.

The Unlimited Toppings Caesar salad was excellent - the dressing was very authentic, the grilled chicken was tasty, and the price for a mega-sized salad was reasonable.  It was much better than the Panera Bread's that I had the same dish a week ago.  The dining area was clean and welcoming.

If you are a fan of Caesar, other restaurants in Maricopa that serve a tasty and authentic Caesar salad are Agave's, Arroyo Grille and Brooklyn Boys.  But MOD offers much more than these three.

We absolutely love the fresh pizza here—it's truly excellent, and this was our family's favorite Friday night spot for months. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is consistently undermined by the poor cleanliness of the dining room.

Over time, we noticed tables were constantly dirty and booths had persistent, dried-on food and stains, which led us to stop dining in. We recently tried again, visiting close to opening time, but the experience was the same. The drink station was already sticky, the napkin/lid dispensers were dusty with old buildup, and we had to wipe down the highchair and table ourselves.

To improve the overall experience, it seems necessary to implement a routine cleaning schedule and designate a crew member to consistently maintain the dining area, highchairs, and self-serve stations. While the food is wonderful, the current state of the dining area means we will not be returning...

Honestly, do not listen to the complaints. Even if they do accidentally mess up your pizza, they have such a positive attitude and will fix it for you. Just be nice and ask for what you want! I got a BBQ plant-based Italian pizza that was incredible! Explosion of flavor in my mouth. Having another vegan option in Maricopa is such a blessing! My daughter who is vegan and gluten-sensitive got the gluten-friendly crust and a bunch of veggie toppings and plant-based sausage with marinara sauce. They use the Daiya restaurant style vegan cheese. Yum! Honestly, this was top-notch vegan pizza and we have it right here in Maricopa, Arizona. Hallelujah! 10 out of five stars!
