Whit's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Marietta

Ordered a Marietta Madness with chocolate ice cream and one with vanilla ice cream. The staff was too worried about the social media to get the orders right. When the chocolate ice cram was placed done, it was running like chocolate milk. When I looked at it, the server started talking about it not being full. I was more concerned with the hair on the top by the spoon. The server apologized, but still did not put on a hair net. When the vanilla ice cream was made, the server gave it to the next customer in line-which was not what she ordered. The next server placed her order in the counter and walked away. Now, we have one order with a hair that needed to be replaced and one order given to the wrong customer (who stirred it) before handing to us. Very unprofessional and not a welcoming environment. For the first time ever, I arrived to the announcement, "We are out of vanilla." It was near close, and the workers looked exasperated. Clearly, they had had some frustrations due to their lack of vanilla. Otherwise, I would not have received a half-hearted eye roll when I exclaimed, "Praise God!" and relief rushed over my husband's face. He knew what we had walked a mile for after I read the map wrong and the dismay it would have been to trudge back to the car with empty hands.

Alas! Whit's frozen custard is the richest chocolate ice cream (or custard) I have found in the MOV and surrounding area save my own. I was on a mission in desolate despair, expecting to be disappointed yet again, and Whit's came through with a rich chocolate custard formed into a milkshake with a touch of peanutbutter and hint of caramel. This was satisfaction....

UPDATE: 8-8 VIDEO SHOWS THE BOARD STILL NOT UPDATED BUT SECRETLY CHARGING EXTRA $1.50 PER CUSTARD SANDWICH. REPORTED PROBLEM 3 MONTHS AGO. STAFF RUDE WHEN ASKED WHY Whits has good custard. We go here a few times a week. But they are not updating their board with prices. I get the custard sandwich, which says $4.50 on the board. SOMEHOW IT’S $6 NOW WITHOUT CHANGING THE BOARD! TOO EXPENSIVE FOR A CUSTARD SANDWICH! $4.50 WAS ALREADY HIGH. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 2 MONTHS NOW!
