Stopped in a couple weeks ago for the first time & so happy we did! I believe we dealt with the owner when we were there, he was so knowledgeable about everything. It was myself and my 3 kids..They each ordered ice cream and I ordered a mocha espresso. Not one complaint from the kids (It's a miracle lol) and my coffee was one of the best coffee's I have ever had. I grew up in Chicago area and we had little italian coffee places all over the city and burbs..they always made the best coffee and I have never found anything remotely close to that greatness until I had it here at Ashley's. The kids ice cream looked amazing too and they all said how good it was. They also have puzzles, a lot of puzzles that really make you use your brain lol and the kids sat there so into these puzzles it was great. Seeing the inside of such an awesome historical building is so cool too. They did an amazing job on restoring it..We give them an All around 5+ * we will be stoppin in anytime we are in the area. The affagato was ok, the espresso was weak, but the ice cream was fine; so enjoyable enough, but I wouldn't do it again. The "cappuccino" was terrible; they don't know what a cappuccino is, It was a latte macchiato, and a bad one at that. Awkward environment.

I wasn't however "bash[ing] a small business", I was leaving an honest review. If you want more honesty, you can't "make it right". I don't want a refund, I accept that when I try something new, it's a risk and your company didn't defraud me. Also, it's not the customer's job to teach the business owner how to run their business. Read moreI was not happy with my service this evening at all. When I first came in I had to wait for the girl to get off her persinal phone call to take my order. I had to repeat my order twice to her due to her not giving her full attention. After paying, I only received half of my order. I stood up at the counter and waited for someone to come out of the back so I could ask them about my order, but instead both employees walked right passed me and started to help other customers and take their orders. I finally got the girls attention who took my order and she said she was sorry she forgot about my cookie order. So I had to wait for her to warm them up. They were definitely not concerned at helping customers and were anticipating closing as they had already locked the doors when other customers were...
