I came to the Marion location a few days ago. I was in the drive tru and asked to try one of the new baskin robins frozen chocolate banana split drink. The gal did not know at all which drink I was talking to her. I told her the name and how they have signs of it being the new drink. She was still very lost. She then told me she will have my total at the window which told me so didn’t even know how to put it in. Few days later I come back. I see the drive thru is busy so I go inside for it to be quicker. I walk in and there’s people in front of me and zero employees. Finally someone walks in rushing a gal to the cash register. Then she looks at the people in front of me and says “what did you need?” They lady says the banana split drink. Once again the gal has someone come help her put it in. Then cashed her out and proceeded to make the drink then call over another employee for help. It’s been over five minutes and I haven’t even ordered. So I decide no ones in the drive thru. I pull into the drive tru. I order 3 drinks & 2 donuts. She tells me my total is $6. Which no way that could be correct. So I pull forward and plan to ensure my order face to face with an employee at the window. I’m waiting at the window for more than 5 min and no one even knowledge that I’m there. Read moreDunkin Donuts has usually been a go-to place for warm and tasty donuts for my family. However, after today's visit, I feel that there will not be future visits.
The staff, while friendly, felt mediocre at best. Very little eye contact, and they seemed distracted and/or seemed they didn't want to be there.
The cleanliness of the store was fine, and no issues to report there.
I understand that the availability of the inventory of donuts is really a first come first served basis, and that is okay. However, every single donut was cold, and tasted very chemically based. My stomach and all of my kids' stomachs are now feeling off. This may be a change in ingredients, this may be due to donuts being left out too long, or this may be due to the donuts not being prepared properly. I don't know what the cause is, but I do know that something isn't right and our stomachs are a little achy because of it.
