Went here last night for dinner with Mt 5 yr old daughter and a friend. Asked to put my daughters order in immediately, 15 minutes later had to ask someone to get server so we could order, since she hadn't checked back with us. She had been sitting at bar talking to a guy the entire time. The hostess ignored me when I asked her to get server. Another man working there sent her over so we could finally order. 10 minutes later, my daughters food still hadn't arrived. Again, server had continued to remain at bar area talking. The man who helped get her earlier came to ask if everything was okay. I asked where my child's food was. He went to check and sent server out with my friend and daughters food. She explained she had waited to put all orders in at once, which was not what we asked of her. By this time, my child was having a fit and no longer even wanted her food. Finally my taco salad came out. First taco salad I've ever had that I did not like, (since in a new place its usually a safe bet to order.) My daughter got out of the booth, and an older male server headed to table behind us glared and looked like he was about to plow her over. He continued to scowl at her the remainder of time we were there. By this time I was disgusted and infuriated with this man, above everything else that had gone wrong. We asked for check and just wanted to leave, as this whole thing had already taken over an hr. My friend and I are both servers also, and some things may have been understandable if this restaurant had been busy, which it was not. Service was unacceptable, as was the obliviousness of hostess, and the other male server is extremely lucky my spouse wasn't there to witness his extreme rudeness towards my daughter. Hands down, worst dining experience of my life. Very...

Ok folks, this is the restraunt to go to for great Mexican food. Being from California [Mexifornia] as we locals call it, I know authentic Mexican food. I wish Google had this guide when we moved from CA to Iowa in 2013. It would of saved us from the worst Mexican meal I've ever had! The restraunt was on the corner of Collins and 1st its since been demolished, I can attest to why LOL! My wife and I were Jonesing for some Cheese Enchiladas so we decided to try this venue. We were seated quickly our order was taken right away. The sevice was very pleasant, our cheese enchiladas arrived on a hot oval plate accompanied by beans and rice. We both dug into our enchiladas taking what we thought was the answer to our deep desires. But wait! Something is very wrong, the taste is horrible, we both spit it out. I called the waiter to our table and I enquired about our meals. I asked, "What cheese do you use in your enchiladas?" The waiter says "Oh senior only the finest AMERICAN CHEESE". "WHAT?? AMERICAN CHEESE NOT CHEDDAR CHEESE" I said! As I continued spewing more insults we abruptly left.

You can imagine my concern when ordering the same meal here however I decided to take the risk. I was pleasantly rewarded! Generous amounts of food came out on a hot oval platter. A very enticing looking meal, hungry or not it made you want to dive right in! The fellas I went with all ordered a different meal. I was able to hear good responses to my questions. All our meals came out at the same time. Seeing each plate pass by me I was wishing I'd ordered that burrito, no his tacos, no no the tostada... What I'm trying to convey is they all looked and smelled Marvelous! Pricing is very fair for what you get, nobody at our party of six finished their plates! BRAVO VILLA'S PATIO,...

Typically have okay-good service, tonight was horrible. We waited 15 minutes to even be greeted after the host had to go ask who to seat and where to seat us, so the server knew we were there. There was 3 other tables in the restaurant at the time. After we were finally greeted, our drinks took another almost 10 minutes. We ordered queso but had been eating our chips and salsa so by the time we got the queso our chips were almost gone, no refill. When we ordered our food there was 2 people at the table, she took my order but not my boyfriend’s and he had to stop her from leaving and order his. The food comes out and we got our chips finally and my food didn’t have the “guacamole salad” as they call it, I didn’t say anything because at this point I just want to eat. My fork and knife where stuck to the napkin and had washed and dried food all over them. I asked for corn tortillas and got flour. Then I got a box and took it home and realized that I never got the beans that were listed in the menu I was supposed to get. I got the huevos con chorizo and ended up not even getting half my food. Needles to say, wasn’t what I would call a good experience. I’ve been serving for almost 5 years and on my bad day haven’t done...

Jesus, this was horrid! We got beef flautitas, beef tacos, tacos al pastor, rice, chips & salsa, and churros. The only thing even edible was the chips and I assume because they didn't make them there. The beef in the tacos was just that - cooked (and wet) hamburger meat without a hint of flavoring or spices. They didn't put the mango sale on the al pastor which is what my wife was looking forward to and didn't put the sauce on my flautitas, which ended up being unflavored meat in a soggy flour tortilla. I tend to be pretty forgiving on Mexican food quality but this is unreasonable. We tried everything, ate the chips and threw everything else in the trash. We had to order something else. DO NOT eat here - find something else.

The food served to us had generous portions for decent prices. I ordered the Roberto Wrap and got an impressive side salad though the latter was pretty heavy on the cheese. The burrito had tender carnitas and fresh avocado. All the veggies in my salad were nice and crisp too. I did wish the waitress brought some salad dressing once my order came out. But even though she forgot, she was still polite when I asked for some. For all I know, she could’ve been new to the crew. If there is anything to complain about, it would be the toilet seat in the men’s restroom. The seat is very loose and I hope someone gets around to fixing that soon. It seemed like it could break off easily and get someone hurt.

Friendly service and decent food for the price. Patio atmosphere is good for a group. Patio seating for two is uncomfortable with low lounge chairs and high tables making eating a bit difficult; at 5'8" I easily could have used a booster seat. And a megaphone, being the unnecessarily large tables made conversation more of a yelling affair. Nonetheless, nice staff, decent parking, and good location means quite a bit.
