I would not go back to this establishment or try the dining room next door. This time I visited the pizza side on a Saturday evening.
Had trouble ordering half a sandwich, and was then charged more than the price quoted (and, I did not pay with a credit card – there’s a non-posted surcharge for card payments, by the way).
There just didn’t seem to be a climate of hospitality and caring for customers.
While the chicken was good quality, my sandwich seemed to be hastily thrown together and not prepared so great.
I remembered that they used to keep olive oil available at the condiment bar, but was told “Whatever is out there,” after noting that only a bottle of vinegar was among the condiments.
While I was there, a customer came back with a recent take-out order because they got his order wrong.
They do need to make a sign for near the register if they are surcharging for card payment; it’s required. But good luck.
Earlier Post: I really like the way this restaurant is set up. The variety of pizza, sandwiches and of course much more offered here is quite adequate. I like the extra virgin olive oil that patrons are free to use; it is kept at the self service area with other condiments like the garlic powder.
I only remember going one other time, other than today and I had plain pizza which was very good.
But what I'm a bit disappointed with is that my small grilled chicken sandwich (which I'll post a photo of here, shown on a piece of foil, after I ate some of the chicken off it at the place and took the rest with me. Appreciated them wrapping it up, too!) cost $9.29 with tax.
Feel like I was upsold! I don't see grilled chicken on the paper menu -- I asked for a small, but not the price when I ordered it. You can get a half (or small) chicken parmigiana for 7.99 (+ tax), as per their menu, after all.
As for my sandwich, the chicken was a bit overcooked, while the shredded lettuce and onions could have looked much better. Can not give it more than three stars, today, but, would go back.
What's more, they give you everything you need, like mayo on the side, for instance.
I've never eaten in the dinning room, but would try it since I know the menu is extensive and food is "cooked to order" as it states.
Enjoy!

Read moreMost of the food was good but the service and accommodations were terrible! We were a party of four. We had to ask young male server for bread for table instead of him doing it on his own. We ordered four entrees. He brought out two entrees in a reasonable amount of time. However, after about 10 minutes had passed, he then brought out the 3rd entrée. After waiting another 10 minutes we asked server why the 4th entrée was not also served. He said there was a "clerical" error. Duh? After waiting another 10 minutes we brought this to the attention to the manager (owner). He was quick to respond; he went back to the kitchen and finally brought out the 4th plate. I asked the owner what the problem was. Without directly blaming the young server he pointed the blame at him. To compound the unenjoyable experience, the sauce in the 4th entrée was watery and unsavory. When we asked for the check we noticed that the price of each entrée had a tack-on charge. I asked the server why there was an additional charge. He said that when you pay with a credit card there's an additional charge. We told him that before he tacked on an additional charge "he" should have first asked us if we were paying with a credit or in cash. When we told the server we were paying in cash, he brought us a revised check without the additional charge. Upon leaving the restaurant the owner asked us how we enjoyed ourselves and my wife told him that we didn't and that for our troubles they caused he should have offered some kind of accommodation. The owner said, "next time." My wife told him there is not going to be a...
Read moreI wish there were zero stars on Google because I would give this place zero stars. Lets start with the fact that the owner is rude and unprofessional, the food sucks and his staff obviously doesn't know the hours of his restaurant. (His staff made an appointment with us to schedule a party and they were CLOSED the day she made the appointment with us.) We went today for our 1130 appointment and he didn't show up until 1145. No apology, no nothing and then proceeds to tell us that we didn't have an appointment today and we had already ironed out the details for our event. Mind you this is our first meeting with him, we haven't seen him or spoken to him about the details of our party. When I told him as much he put his hand in my face, told me "I'm not talking to you" in the most disgusting way possible. He ruined the good name that the previous owner built up for almost 40 YEARS. 40 years that place was in business and this new owner ruined the name in a year. I would NEVER go to this restaurant and I would NEVER recommend it. I'm sure he's gonna delete this review so I hope people see it...
