Ordering online is a JOKE! The web function is not ready for use; it should be taken offline until it works right I wasted 40 minutes trying to order for 5 people on Saturday, July 8 so we could make a 7:15 movie nearby. Started 2 hours before pick-up time. Did all the work. Entered all the details. Entered the credit card info. Was then told that it was a peak time period, so my pick-up time was bumped back 15 minutes. I said OK. Then I was told I needed to be bumped back 30 minutes. I said no, and started over. Tried this about 10 times. Called the branch. Talked to a staff member and then her manager, Ryan. He told me to place the order and then call before we arrived, asking them to "push it through" at our desired time. I spent 15 minutes more on the website. Went through the whole process again, only this time I wasn't just bumped back a little bit. I kept getting bumped back in 15 minute increments to 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 PM. Each time I said "OK," because I knew that I would be able to call and "force it through." But I had to re-enter my credit card info 5 or 6 times during all of this. When it bumped me back to 10 PM, I started to think that the system was broken. Then it flipped to the NEXT DAY!!! And yet I was STILL told by the website that 10 AM on Sunday morning was such a high volume time that they needed to bump me to 10:30 AM, and then 11 AM, etc!!! Clearly, the online ordering is not ready for Prime Time. Please just tell me that rather wasting so much of my time!!! Absolutely ridiculous.
Since I couldn't use the web function and since the manager had told me that it was a peak period, I brought my party there early so that we could deal with long lines. Yet we walked into an almost empty Smashburger. Our food arrived 10 minutes after we entered. That's great in and of itself, but we wasted a lot of time arriving so early based on the web site's and the manager's claims of peak busy-ness. In fact, instead of admitting over the phone that the website doesn't work well-- the restaurant must have been completely empty when I called at 4:30 PM-- the manager (Ryan) doubled down and gave a ridiculous justification of the web ordering function. Said that it's set up to avoid overloading their capacities. Just be transparent! Be honest! And get the darned website working or take down that function. Do NOT waste...
Read moreProbably the friendliest customer service we've experienced in a long time! The host was very friendly. This was our first time so we took a bit of her time ordering. We sat at our table at 5:40 with our number. About 10 minutes later 2 of the 4 milkshakes arrived, again the host was super friendly and about 5 minutes after the the remaining 2 came out. Milkshakes were good, this was our first time at Smashburger so we were passing them around, trying all the flavors. My daughter expressed that she was starving and I made the comment that it has been long but that just means it's going to be hot a fresh but that wasn't the case. Our food arrived at 5:58, I intentionally looked at my phone to note the time. Our food runner (possibly a manager) was super friendly. We took everything out of our bags and started trying the different things we ordered. Nothing was hot but it wasn't cold either...may rom temperature at best which was disappointing since we waited 20 minutes. I just felt like nothing had taste with the exception of the smashfries but again they weren't hot. My daughters chicken sandwich was full of grease and she cold barely get 1/2 down but luckily my other daughter did not like her burger (ironically, they were dry) so she was able to finish that. Overall staff was super friendly, the wait time I felt was extended and the food was not memorable. We spend just shy of $60 ($56.41) and probably...
Read moreThis was my first time getting fast food burgers ( hard to believe I know, but up until recently I didn't eat beef and now I absolutely love it.)
Smashburger was absolutely not what I was expecting for fast food. The inside had a trendy decor, it didn't smell like greasy food and employees who paid an exceptional attention to detail.
The Smashburger menu were easy to read even at the end of a long line because they are prominently displayed on LED boards. For me, the best part was that every menu items listed it's calories. I was pleasantly surprised that my single Patty Smashburger with cheese had less than 600 calories ( that's fewer calories than most Lean Cuisine meals!) I had asked for a medium cooked burger and was not happy to see no pink inside; much to my surprise however, my burger was very juicy.
Along with my burger I couldn't resist ordering brussel sprouts which, have 400 calories ( 100 calories more than any other side items on the menu). I understood immediately when I bit into one why they were so fattening - they were fried, but it's almost as if someone forgot to take them out of the fire because they were literally too saturated with oil to eat. Next time I will go for the sweet potato fries which I believe has around 300 calories.
All in all, great experienced popping my...
