My reviews are based on the start of enter point: When me and my children arrived we were seated fairly quickly - we were then approached by a waiter, not sure of his name he did not introduce himself. He did seem a bit in a rush, I counted roughly about 35-40 people seated. Some were already eating their meal when we entered. The waiter approached me at my table and asked if we were asked what we would like to drink, I advised him we were not asked as of yet. He then took our drink order and returned back, when he returned I asked about the All you can eat menu, he asked me if I was ready to place my order. I was barely aware of the menu options and how that worked especially after being advised if one person gets the “All you can eat” everyone at the table will have to get that. So I provided my two youngest children’s appetizers and was unclear of my own, the waiter then said “ are you ready because I’m really busy and I have to finish taking others orders?” I then quickly dismissed the gentleman and have been waiting for his return for over 3 minutes. Someone then comes over and ask if my order had been taken I advised only my youngest children. Jesse then came over to assist me and my family further. Jesse educated me in their All You Can Eat menu and how the process works. She was very polite and refreshing considering the initial response given prior before. This is my first time dining here and prefer to not have a bad experience. Will update as far as the food goes shortly. Ok so we had our food, phots below - The snow crabs were ok, not too much you could do to destroy that, the shrimp was a little over cooked, the shell was tough on some pieces while the shell feel off perfectly on others. The house sauce is mediocre - honestly it tastes the same as “every other crab house” in the area. The buffalo wings were fried the way I like them while the sauce was actually nasty to me, the lemon pepper wings were good but too much breading. The fried shrimp was bland and needed more seasoning and the fries were just basic seasoned fries - I feel like they are pre seasoned fries that you can purchase from the grocery store. Overall experience was a 3 out of 10. I won’t be returning especially for an All You Can eat menu that’s limited and it’s honestly not an all you can eat. Hopefully my review and photos have assisted someone thinking of going to this place. Have a blessed one folks and happy reviewing! - Update so I then left had to go to the front to pay for my food, which wasn’t what the previous people to the right of me had to do before they left the waiter took their card and check information and returned it, I guess because I submitted my review before I left they were upset - I was also still eating my Hushpuppies and some waiter grabbed it when I went to dip my hush puppy back in the sauce! Yea so no, the food was nasty and so was the service....
Read moreFirst off, I want to say that the food was not bad. The sauces to the seafood boils were a bit bland, needs less of the salt and more of the flavor. The food in general was a 7/10. Wings were good.
The female server was rude and also raised her voice at us. The male server was more understanding and kind.
Party of 2 and decided to both do the AYCE. BEWARE OF THE RULES/POLICY: If someone does the AYCE, everyone at the table has to do it. They will charge for unfinished food. Automatic 15% gratuity added to check STRICT 90 MIN policy. I mean… as soon as you tell them you want the AYCE and they enter it in their tablet.. BOOM, the timer starts. They told us you have to order 2 appetizers per person to start. Which is WILD. We were able to get just 1 appetizer per person after telling the server how dumb that sounded. You can easily just get full from the fried foods on the appetizer menu. You’re only allowed to pick 2 types of seafood per round. The servings are small.
We were able to do 3 rounds each before the timer “ended”. We did spend 15 mins in between each round waiting for the food to come out, so it took up most of our time. I did a timer myself, to actually keep track of real time. I started my timer when our first round arrived. Which I thinks makes the most sense. Why am I being timed from the start and my food didn’t even come out yet??* We wanted to do one more round but we got the bill instead. On my timer it said we had 8 mins left… but on their’s, it was exactly 90 mins.
You can pretty much get scammed out...
Read moreThis was my first time trying Crack Crab, and I have to say I was very impressed. I just got into seafood, I have always been very sensitive to the fishy taste. I and my boyfriend both got seafood boils, mine the 1lb of snow crab for $32, his combo #4 (1lb headless shrimp, 1lb baby clams) for $26. In my bag I paid $4 extra for sausage, and $1 extra for an egg. Both of our bags came with corn and potatoes, his broccoli as well. The crab was so fresh, I was honestly surprised that it wasn't fishy at ALL to me. The sausage was snappy and flavorful, corn definitely not frozen. Very sweet and not mushy from the sauce at all. We both got cajun sauce and garlic butter sauce mixed, so good!!!!! My boyfriend kept saying how flavorful and fresh his clams and shrimp were as well, and said the broccoli was perfectly cooked. We paid around $73 for the both of us, and the food was still piping hot after our 20 minute drive home! Honestly, for 1lb of crab, 1lb of shrimp, and 1lb of clams PLUS sides, thats such a good value IMO. We also tipped around $7 so the subtotal for the food was even less. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already, especially if you are particular about seafood like me:) Will absolutely...
