My husband and I have been to this location twice; the first time was excellent and we really enjoyed our food. We also went to the Robinson location but decided that the food quality was better at Cranberry. The food was served fast and hot.
However…
On our second visit to this location, on 1/29/2025 at around 6-6:30pm, we submitted an order via the self serve kiosk. Everything was fine up until just after my husband ran his credit card. The kiosk then seemed to reboot itself without kicking a receipt out or giving an order number. Ok, weird.
We let the lady who was at the cash register know that this happened and asked her if our order went through, as we did not get a receipt. She assured us it had not, but was able to bring up our order on her register and had to handwrite our order to the kitchen.
Under the assumption and assurance that the first transaction didn’t go through, my husband used a different credit card. She also said the kiosk issue has been a problem all day.
We got our food, enjoyed it and went about the rest of our evening.
A few days later, he is checking his accounts on both cards and sees the charge on both cards. Not expecting this to have happened, the receipt for the second transaction was mistakenly tossed. He appealed to the first card company for a charge back because we clearly got ONE order, not two.
Unfortunately, because the card company not receiving the proof of the identical charges (even though we sent it) we were still charged for the initial attempted order.
My point is, I am really disappointed that there wasn’t enough due diligence at the point of sale to let us know that the charge had gone through so we didn’t have to pay for a second meal. I do acknowledge that maybe we should have kept our second transaction reciept but how would we have known? I’m not looking for free food here, but I do want to make the frustration known that this happened and we will keep appealing this with our credit card company.
Chikn serves a great product and we’d like to eat here again - but maybe next time we will...
Read moreI came in with my 8 year old daughter who eats nothing but has a slight obsession with chicken sandwiches. She got a plain southern sandwich with the crinkle cut fries and declared that CHiKN is her favorite place. Her sandwich was huge! It was just chicken on a brioche bun, but the piece of chicken she got was a pretty big and you could tell it was real chicken breast, none of that chopped chicken patty stuff you get in the school cafeteria. Her fries were seasoned and they were light and crispy.
I ordered a medium chicken sandwich (with all the goodies on it) with Mac and cheese. I know that heat varies from place to place and some places have things labeled as medium spicy that could best be described as mild and some places you go, their medium is so hot that you can’t finish your meal. The medium here was spicy enough to make my nose run slightly and I was able to finish, so it was perfect. Also a lot of times spicy does not mean seasoned, my sandwich was well seasoned so it wasn’t like eating just a spicy piece of chicken on a bun, it was slightly smoky and the sauce that came on it did not overpower the sandwich. It came with slaw on it that was not a heavily sauced slaw, it was light and fresh and gave the sandwich a nice crunch.
My favorite part has to be their Mac and cheese. I’ve gone to plenty of restaurants where the Mac and cheese could best be described as TV dinner Mac and cheese ( think over cooked pasta, flavorless watery sauce that doesn’t taste anything like cheese). This Mac n cheese was more like homemade, it was cheesy and well seasoned. Definitely, the best Mac I’ve had!
I can’t wait...
Read moreThis was the first time I ever went here and the last. The girl at the counter was nice but I didn't know I had to order the chicken at a certain spice level. And she didn't ask if I wanted a certain spice level. So I just got a regular Chicken Sandwich and fries. The fries were okay. The chicken is chewy at the edges and just not very good. What really killed me though, was how dirty this place is. I really hope that I don't get sick from what I did eat, which I did not finish. The area where you get your pop was gross. There was really sticky parts in some areas and I think iced tea all over the table. And the fountains have not been cleaned in forever. You can tell by the way it comes out and the taste that they just don't clean anything here. I ate a little bit of my sandwich and then I gave up. I just was worried about getting sick and the pop I only had a few sips because I just started thinking about how gross everything was. You can tell they don't clean very regularly at all. There were of course no napkins in the napkin holder and I got no napkins in the bag, but the napkin holder was completely sticky and gross too, which means they haven't cleaned it in who knows how long. Probably months. The side of the table and around all of it at the fountain drinks and where you get your straws was all disgusting. I wouldn't trust eating here because it doesn't seem like the staff is doing anything to keep any bacteria away. The girl at the counter was really nice and that's about the...
