This was my first time stopping by this location and I can already say it's one of the better sushi restaurants in the Owings Mills area. The restaurant's wooden theme blends well with the lighting inside. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with tonkatasu, and a sushi sashimi platter.
Tonkotsu ramen with tokatsu: the ramen definitely had a different texture than most places. What I mean by this is that most ramen places use the prepackaged (not dehydrated) noodles that give off a certain scent/flavor. The noodles here taste as if they were freshly handmade in the back. The tonkotsu broth lacked flavor but that seems to be a norm for ramen in Maryland. A dash of salt definitely brought my soup to life. One thing I was disappointed about was they didn't have the pork belly that is traditional. However, their tonkatsu was very delicious. It was lightly breaded and not greasy like some places. They also didn't overcook the tonkatsu like some places which made it very easy to eat. Their tonkatsu sauce was sweet and tangy.
Sushi sashimi platter: this dish is usually the same anywhere you go. Salmon, tuna, and yellowtail sashimi and nigiri with a spicy tuna roll. Fortunately, this place is better than most. They gave me sweet shrimp and also a salmon avocado roll instead of the spicy tuna (I HATE SPICY TUNA). The portions of the fish were significantly larger than other places as well. Sushi Q make their food smaller, while watami gives you a flavorless riceball with a piece of small fish on top for your nigiri.
All in all, I was very impressed with the food here. I'm very biased when it comes to sushi and fresh fish is almost impossible to come by. But I think their tuna is fresh. The reason is because most tuna separates at the fiber when it's frozen. This tuna stuck together without splitting open and it tasted great. The price was a little more than other places, but the food was...
Read moreI and my friend had never been here but we’re both so pleased and impressed. As walk ins on a Friday night, we were treated courteously and the utmost care was taken with our order. There was an understandable wait and we were treated to a lovely appetizer before the tempura we ordered came out.
They coursed our entrees to be ready when our two top was clear enough. The chef went all out giving us gorgeous platings with thoughtful garnishes. The sashimi I ordered was so delicate that it was a momentary delight before dissolving into salmon essence. A perfect and ephemeral experience that I crave to experience again.
Our server took care to check in on us and was very personable. She explained the great care put into their rice preparation and made sure I enjoyed the delicious oranges that garnished my plate. You could tell the entire team was committed to offering a holistically beautiful experience.
Thank you so much for delighting our senses! I can’t...

Their entire staff is so kind, so friendly & very attentive, & their food is where it’s at! Everything from their miso soup to their California rolls are beyond delicious, totally fresh & the perfect portions. Every visit reinforces my love of this restaurant.
