Here's my latest review as of July 9th, 2025 at 2:43pm. The service is still crap. I asked the female cashier and potential preparer of my order to put on gloves. She refused. She reached for the container that she would have put the food in after she worked on the cash register. The reason for the denial was that she hadn't started my order yet. I knew what I wanted, but I wanted her to put gloves on first. Is the customer not right to request gloves!!! It's my food if I had completed the order.
I told my daughter to spend her money somewhere else. The female said, " Go ahead, I don't care." Then, my daughter patronized ole faithful Chic Fil A.
Since she didn't care if we spent our money somewhere else. It would be nice if people stand in solidarity and spend their money somewhere else, too.
We as customers deserve to have reasonable accommodation when we spend our money at these merchants.
---------‐--‐---------------------------------------------------- THE BELOW REVIEW WAS FROM ANOTHER ENCOUNTER.
I asked the I patronized this business during the recent listeria and other food recalls. So, I watched the employees for 5 to 7 minutes. I observed their food handling procedures before I placed an order. I observed the younger Latino lady wearing gloves. The older Latino lady cashier didn't wear gloves as she prepared an order. Maybe she felt that it was OK because she used the tongs for that order.
I felt comfortable enough to place an order for a gyro platter. I like their food. As the younger Latino lady cooked my lamb meat, a Latino male came out and took over the grill. The younger Latino lady waited so she could assemble my Gyro. Then, she pulled up her pants with plastic gloves on.
Hey, I understood if her pants needed to be adjusted. I didn't understand why she thought that it was OK to resume food handling and not remove the gloves nor wash her hands. So, I interjected to stop her from touching my Pita Bread as the young man handed it off to her. I was too late.
Then, I expressed my concerns, and the young lady was offended. She seemed clueless of my concern, too. So, I said just listen and don't be offended. You went to the bathroom and pulled her pants up and down. At no time were your hands clean until you got to the sink and washed them. So, your pants have germs on them. Now, you pulled your pants up with gloves on to prepare my food.
The older lady interjected and said, " We always were gloves." The male stated he understood. Then, the older lady asked if I still wanted the order.
Remember, I pointed out earlier that I watched them before I ordered. So, the older lady lied about the gloves. Even if they do wear gloves, are the gloves meant to protect them or the food.
I just have concerns about employees' food handling protocols. With all these recalls and people getting sick at well-known companies, you would think all restaurants would reiterate cleanliness and wash their hands to...
Read moreSo. Incredible. I ordered online and the website was really well organized. Anything I needed, they had it easily available. I was nervous to order online because I knew I was going to need to adjust a few things. But it was so easy. This restaurant is located in the mall. It's not typical mall food though. Just expect to be dining in a food court. I got a text that my food had finished earlier than I thought and I was worried it would be cold by the time I got there. But it was so nice and hot. I ordered the mixed plate with chicken and lamb. The chicken was amazing! I also ordered a side of falafel which was also amazing. I'm a veggie lover so I think next time I will get a little more salad. I loved the white sauce. It didn't taste like a typical tzatziki. The spicy sauce though.....I'm okay with a little bit of spice, but let's just say I'm glad I ordered it on the side. It almost burned my lips off. The fries were good quality. The baklava had good flavor but I was hoping for a little more crisp and less soft. But it might have gotten a little soft because of the container it was in. I didn't want to stop eating but it was so good! The portion sizes are also pretty big so I couldn't have finished. I'm just sad I live...
Read morewhere to begin with Baba’s Halal… i always notice the short lines here and think to myself that people who are waiting in long lines for popeyes or even chick fil a are doing themselves a major disservice (better for me to get my food quick) and seriously, this place is my goto fast food place not just in the mall, but i come to the mall just to get food from here. The salad is always fresh and delicious, The rice has a LOT of cumin and is very flavorful, the chicken and lamb are amazing quality, and the sauces are addictive. if you ever had other halal food chains, prepare to have your expectations absolutely exceeded. i highly recommend the mix platter with white sauce, (and hot if you like a bit more kick). The staff is also great and makes serving you their top priority. If i could have only one fast food for the rest of my life it would undoubtedly be babas halal, and if their business shuts down i will be very disappointed. To the owners, you are doing a great job, and i hope your business profits for many years...
