I have not eaten at a Boardwalk Fries in years. Today, since I was in the area, I decided to go with them for lunch. I pulled up their menu and got excited when I saw that they served what looked like fresh well done ground turkey patties.
I ordered a Classic Burger with a turkey patty, no tomato, no pickle and an order of their Garlic Parmesan Fries (which is a meal in and of itself).
The burger was just okay, although it is portrayed online as being fresh and “made-to-order” it still gave me a processed patty taste (removed one star), I added mayo and the fixings on the burger helped to carry it along.
Now the fries were definitely fresh and the garlic aioli & Parmesan cheese ratios were PERFECT👌🏾. It’s definitely shareable, I knew I could not eat them all but still wanted to taste them. They of course would not be good re-heated They were really good, ran circles around the burger.
The young man that took my order was pretty cool and answered all of my questions regarding patty size and if I needed one or two.
I removed one star for the overall rating due to there not being any signage that I could visibly see that would have warmed me of the $2.50 convenience fee that was imposed because I used a card as oppose to cash….WHO WALKS WITH CASH IN 2024??? Well I know I typically do not but did have a $20 bill in my wallet that I had been looking to use it for over a month now. I was not informed before paying that there would be a “convenience fee” but saw it on my receipt while I waited and questioned what it was for. At the rate of how inflation is NOT going down fast enough, I think that should be displayed at the counter alerting customers and giving them an option.
I would go back for the fries definitely and I’m now aware that I need...
Read moreI guess I shouldn’t be shocked because this place has great reviews, but I’m really surprised at how delicious it was.
I got the: Garlic Parmesan Fries, Funnel Cake Fries, Tenders Only (4), Chicken Steak Sub.
Honestly, the fries were SO good that’s why I gave this place a 4 star review. I could not believe how delicious crispy flavorful they were 100% worth the money!!!
The funnel cake fries 10 out of 10 crispy delicious just like you got out of a carnival so fun!
The chicken cheesesteak was delicious, but I have to say way way way over priced. For the size and what you’re getting for a chicken cheesesteak it’s not worth $17 because obviously you have to have cheese (AND THAT’S EXTRA). $17.59 for a chicken cheesesteak is wild especially because it’s only 8 inches it’s good, but not that good.
Now, unfortunately those chicken tenders, they should really be ashamed of themselves. $12.35 for those for those 4 puny tenders with no fries is CRIMINAL! Definitely would not recommend definitely will not get again. Honestly, for how small they were and for only for they should not be charging any more than seven dollars MAX.
Overall, I had a good first experience, and I definitely would...
Read moreThe fries are awesome! We went here with our three kids. The burgers and the servings of fries were a good size. The place was clean, and the food arrived fairly quickly, though they forgot the bacon on my husband's BBQ Bacon Burger (they did fix it quickly). I ordered the Mushroom & Swiss burger, but was disappointed at the "sauce" on the burger; it tasted like canned gravy. The fries were delicious! They came on a large platter (not in a popcorn-like bucket as advertised), and were the perfect temperature and saltiness. They are best warm, but with the amount of time it took to eat the huge burger, the fries had cooled down, and weren't nearly as good. The kids enjoyed their meals, and ate everything we ordered for them. My husband and I each had ordered water, and we were given a tiny cup with lukewarm water in it; no "water only" was available at the drink station. Overall, I might return for the fries alone, but the burgers were just like any other burger joint...
