My daughter raved about this place today and told me about taco Tuesday! I was super excited because it’s my fiancé’s favorite— Tacos!! I have never heard of this place and never been. So, I went with my daughter after LONG day at work and saw the line was super long and I thought ...okay okay ..it’s busy and it looks like a descent fresh place. The line was about a good 20 min till it was my turn. I was so excited. My turn yay! Finally!! The lady asked me what I would like (pleasantly) and I told her 4 tacos with steak but sauce on the side. These were for my fiancé as he wanted the sauce on the side so he could put it in himself. I saw her put the sauce in a separate little container and told me the next lady would help me. I then continued to the next lady who was SUPER NASTY and with a attitude. It’s like I was bothering her. I politely asked for picko de gallo (which was bland not authentic at all). She put it in w attitude. Giving me a nasty look.I asked her if I can also get rice and beans. It was just such horrible feeling to be treated with an attitude. I’m not sure why she’s working there and how someone can have an employee like this. Seriously????! I asked her for one more thing as I was relieved to be finishing with her she just mumbled something and I didn’t understand what the heck she said. I gave up. She then had a little conversation with the cashier who was the next person to deal with. I felt as the awful lady was talking or saying something about me- something. You know when your being talked about and I can sure feel it. So, then the cashier dropped a cup in front of me that fell on the floor. Not sure if it was on purpose but the awful lady that I had before looked at me after that and had a smirk on her face. I didn’t get a apology at all. It would be something you just do naturally but nothing from cashier. Weird. It’s just good bedside manners she had none.I asked her if I can get a coke ( at this point I was excited to get the heck out of there very much so). She said “ you want 2 cokes”? No I told her only one. Mind you she had no smile nothing just looked like she was in a rush and hated her job. She quickly totaled it up on cash register and it came up to $20 and change. I WANTED to ask her if she could break it down for me just because there were no prices that I saw listed on the menu but I didn’t because I was a bit upset at this point and knowing if I did I might get even more upset and say something if I got more attitude from her. 😤😤Plus I didn’t want to embarrass my daughter. If she wasn’t with me I would have said something. Anyway, she did say have a good day when she finished my transaction. When we got home. There was NO sauce in the bag. Did she not put it in on purpose? I don’t know but I wouldn’t be surprised. Remind you the first worker I saw put it in a container for me so I know it was done. Anyway....arghhhh. My fiancé did end up liking the tacos BUT my daughter who got the burrito threw up from it. Food poisoning. I never write reviews but I had to on this one. If I could give 0 stars I would. I will never be coming back and defenitaly telling people not to go there!! I will be calling the manager or owner. Getting Food poisoning is unacceptable and other people have had it before in this place from reading the reviews. One of the most worst services I honestly have had in my life. Read moreIf i could give this place 0 stars i would. Not only was I rushed, i was ignored when i asked questions and the woman packing my meal did not complete her job. She simply asked is that it multiple times loudly and said for here or to go while i was trying to let her know ive never been here before and was unsure what all was offered. I ended up leaving with something i did not originally plan to order. The atmosphere was dirty and the accent lights and decor had a large amount of dustas well as grease on the grease hoods. The lettuce i was offered was essentially water and ice with a side of lettuce. Absolutely soaked my bowl in water making it soggy. She did not drain the water before sloppily putting together the meal. If i was paying i would have left. But unfortunately i was with company and did not want to interrupt my day. There was no line behind me as well I thought i might say, as well as i had tried ordering online through the app several times including on different phones and different people trying and the app was not working so we had to order instore instead of online for pick up. Reading off the meal i wanted to order i was interrupted and treated like there was a line of 60 people behind me. After 10 years in the restaurant and service industry ill never recommend this location nor will i ever be returning. Read moreTh is is the first time I had an issue at Cafe Rio Germantown. I visit quite often because I love the generous veterans discount they give along with the yummy food. When I got to the employee to place my order, an employee Ive never seen before, probably new, he made no eye contact with me, hardly acknowledging that I was there. Perhaps he just doesnt want to be working tonight or because I'm a big white man with a beard and have an American flag on my hat, perhaps he sterotyped me as a racist. I'm not sure but his look was definitely unwelcoming. I placed an order and he turned around threw the food on the cooker kept his back towards me for a good two minutes. When he finally turns back around he asked the next group of people who were a family of latinos if he could help them with a smile, using his voice and eye contact. I interrupted and said excuse me, I didnt get to finish placing my order. He gave me a nasty look , then I confronted him and asked him if there was some kind of problem. He started getting upset and instead of sticking around to throw fire on the situation I decided to leave, and told the other employees there that they should consider replacing that employee with someone who actually wants to be there.
