Crab & Chicken — Restaurant in Maryland

First, I will start by saying that I was in the area for the Thanksgiving holiday visiting my daughter. We decided to take a trip to Sam’s, which is located across the parking lot from this restaurant . The restaurant was convenient, we were pretty hungry after doing some Holiday shopping. First red flag was, the parking lot was empty ! Second red flag, upon entering the restaurant, no one greeted us. We seated ourselves and got our own menus from the young lady who was still sitting behind the counter when we walked in. finally, she did come to take our drink orders. We all ordered water so she brought 4 cups of water, no ice and a picture of water with melted ice. I’ll go ahead and throw in the fat that no one came to refill the picture of water during our Meal time. Two individual in our party order the oysters and french fry basket. The oysters are battered and flour, they were disgusting! They had no seasoning, you could taste the flour and they were chewy/rubbery. The other two individuals in our group order the in-house special that came with a half pound of shrimp and a half pound of snow, crab legs. The sausage was atrocious! I don’t know what type of sausage it was, but it was not tasteful at all. Now, the crab legs and seasoning was great! They do use a lot of oil and butter. This is not a seafood spot that I would recommend visiting,...

I witnessed one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I’ve ever seen. A dine-in customer was served what was clearly rancid chicken — it smelled bad from where I was sitting. The man politely approached the kitchen to let them know, and instead of checking the food or offering a refund, the cook yelled at him and told him it was “his problem.” She created a huge scene while he remained calm and respectful.

He even begged her to smell or taste it, and she flat-out refused. He eventually left, not because the issue was resolved, but to stop the public humiliation. I felt terrible for him — just a working guy trying to grab lunch.

Beyond the lack of decency, the fact that they didn’t even check the chicken is alarming. Someone’s going to get seriously sick if this is how food safety is handled...

I ordered on line, my order didn't go through their system. The waitress noticed l had been waiting for while. The waitress was very kind and apologetic. My order was not processed through there system, I had to wait extra time for my food to get cooked. Upon getting my food home my mouth watering waiting to get busy eating. I was very disappointed...I bit into the fried scallop 'yuck' it wasn't real scallops. I bit into the oyster 'real' I couldn't even bit it, it was hard 'I requested the fried oysters to be fried hard not so hard I couldn't bite' and they tasted weird. The 🦀 fries were the only thing I ate and they were ok. The waitress was wonderful and had a great spirit. Not a fan of the food. If you're gonna be a seafood place please serve...
