Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & Wings — Restaurant in Maryland

A Hispanic girl that was working the register last night was VERY unprofessional and nasty to me. Don’t get their fries… you pay $5 and they don’t give you the amount you’re supposed to get. So I finished my sandwich didn’t even touch the fries but saw a low amount… finished my sandwich went back up to her for to say there needs to be more fries and I said that this is for $5 For this amount?! and she accused me of lying and eating the fries and said we have cameras and I said go look cause I just finished my sandwich. She gave attitude I certainly gave it right back for that treatment! She came back out saying yeah I remember there being more I said yeah well you said you have cameras go look! She gave me a little more fries the amount I should be getting! Haha. See that means she does crooked things to think I ate them but how she was attacking me! Unacceptable they have workers like her.. her and the whole staff should be fired! Left my food for that nasty girl to clean. They need professional people in there and THAT speaks English! There were also three cooks back there apparently and a lot of people were waiting on their food too just very unprofessional staff AND they just opened that store.....

First time trying Hangry Joe's. Decided to try the chicken and waffles and a taro bubble tea. For the chicken, I chose the mild heat and boy was it spicy. I don't really like spicy foods, but it was really good. The chicken was all white meat and juicy. The flavors were on point and the sauces that accompany the chicken were so good. For a non spicy lover, next time I would probably go with the no heat, which on their menu says may even still be a little spicy. The waffles were heavier than a regular waffle. They are made with funnel cake batter I believe. They were pretty good, just not as fluffy as a regular waffle.The taro bubble tea was okay. It didn't really taste like taro to me. It tasted more flowery and had a white powder floating in it ... and no bubbles. The service was a tad slow and when we walked in, no one was eating. It seemed everyone was waiting on their orders. All in all it was a really good meal that I thoroughly enjoyed. And I will definitely go back to try the enormous chicken sandwich. And as this is a relatively new location, I'm sure they're still getting the hang of things.
