Las Esperanzas Café 2 — Restaurant in Maryland

So it was our first time visiting the restaurant and we drove 1.45 minutes just cause they recommended the place and to begin our server was horrible.She came and asked if we wanted drinks after 25 minutes we were there.An hour later we asked where was our drinks and she said she would bring them.Next we noticed everybody getting chips so we had to ask if we could get chips.After we ordered our food we got it after 45 minute wait and to make the long story short the waitress never and checked to see how we were doing or if anything needed.We got our food and I ordered a seafood soup and after trying the fish come findout that the fish was not washed good cause we got scales in our food.My son ordered carne asada and found a long black hair so we left the food and brought it to our waitress and all she said was I apologize that the fish was not washed good and she would let management know.We ordered 2 atol d elote and left the restaurant without it she forgot to give it to us and we didn’t get charged for them so we did not say anything.We checked our tab and we only got $2 discount after our incident with the food.We had high expectations from the referrals but it was deffinetly a really bad wxperience.We would not recommend it well at least the...

I used to love this place their food is delicious and always at a good temperature. I went today and doubt I will be returning due to the staff. The staff was so much friendlier, and much better when the owner would be there now it's all jokes for them and they don't take serving people serious. A restaurant has to be good with their food and service but here they have lost that touch. The senior who takes you to your seat is extremely rude and mostly doesn't know how to work in that atmosphere , I asked him for a different seat and he denied that to me and didn't care if I was accommodated in any form. Plus it was not full , I understand if it's full but there were many empty seats! The servers were mostly gossiping and talking about the customers and laughing , they are very childish and rude. Customer service requires improvement. I placed an order over the phone and was told it would take 35 minutes. I arrived after 35 minutes and was informed their was a line of customers waiting ahead of me and that my order would take an additional 15 minutes possibly if not longer. My husband decided to cancel order and that's when the woman behind the counter decided to tell me how to spend my money by saying we cannot cancel order or at least pay for the appetizer order that was ready. Needless to say we had to enlight her on the fairness of her request. She seemed to take our stance personal and wouldn't take no.
