COLD FOOD - RUNNY BLIZZARDS - UNSANITARY WORKERS
Order #89
I went today. I had been awaiting this stores arrival. Seeing the employees there daily had my hopes that this store would do well. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
When I arrived, the line was not that long although the store was packed. Most of the people were waiting for their food. The DQ is divided between the Ice Cream and Hot Food.
RED FLAG 1 - The amount of employees coming in from outside then going behind the counter. I noticed the employee with the PINK HAIR walk outside touch the door and then walk back in and TOUCH the rim of the cup and look underneath it. Nasty ! She was not the only one. There was more activity from the workers walking in and out than fixing food.
RED FLAG 2 - NO HAIRNETS OR HANDWASHING No one in that kitchen or walking behind the counter had a hair net. And many of the workers had longer hair. I noticed the guy making ice cream take his hat off with gloves on his hands and scratch his head. NASTY. With all the hustle and bustle, no one washed their hands even though the sink was visible.
RED FLAG 3 - SOUPY BLIZZARDS AND COLD FOOD
My food order was completed before the Ice Cream. When done, the gentleman put my food in the bag. The process of getting the food was 30 minutes. Then the lady who was checking the Blizzards yelled my order 10 TIMES and still no one would make the order. When I asked to get my money back, then she said the manager would make it. THE PROBLEM - The machine was not cold enough. There was NOT one Blizzard that could be turned upside down without the Ice Cream leaking. By the time I got my ice cream, it was SOUPY AND MELTED. It was not frozen at all.
By the time I ate my food, it was COLD. So I paid $37 for COLD BURGERS, COLD ONION RINGS, SOUPY BLIZZARDS.
And I forget the best part. I WAS SICK AFTERWARDS. I am sure it was related to the Unsanitary conditions.
Stay the heck away from this place. I predict it will be out of business in less than two years at this...
Read moreFirst time we went the whole place looked open, so we went through the drive thru which said closed for training.
No Big deal so we went a second time. This time it was 6:30pm and we were told there wasn’t any ice cream. Ummmm how does Dairy Queen not have any ice cream??
The third time we went they gave me peanuts instead of pecans not a big deal but my husband’s chocolate brownie blizzard was a very light brown and not chocolate at all and runny. Was definitely not the Royal Chocolate Brownie Blizzard.
Now, here we are for the fourth time and well it was another very poor experience. My husbands Blizzard was messed up once again even after we were told to wait out front for it. It was 15 minutes that went by, my husband went in and there was miscommunication over missing brownie pieces which was causing the wait. The blizzards and my sundae was messy and not thick at all. They were also out of slushees.. HOW?? WHY??
It looked like a bunch of teens, one who was working the window, a little girl huffing and puffing around when asked about the brownie pieces and another guy cleaning instead of trying to fix our wait time for a BLIZZARD something they are known for. It didn’t look like a manager was on duty as there wasn’t any apology or quickness to...
Read moreHorrible experience here . I ordered a large fry and small drink . Drink was under $3. I then asked for the pick any 2 for $5, and asked for the large drink and cheeseburger. The burger is just under $5. Instead of ringing it up how I asked, she rang the drinks up as the 2/$5 and the burger separately. This overcharged me by about $2. No problem, mistakes can be fixed right? Only if the manager is smart enough to see it. Instead, she insisted she was right. I tried to explain the VERY simple math, but she just kept talking over us, refusing to let us even speak. After things settled, and she refunded $4 with MUCH attitude, I tried to explain to her that the first part of customer complaint resolution was to listen. She doubled down and kept talking over me. You’d think a 71 year old lady would be better at her job. I will not visit this DQ again. I’d rather drive to Odenton if I get the urge. Which I...
