Honestly the worst McDonald’s I’ve been to in my entire life. I went their on 4/20 and waited 30 mins for a happy meal. I assumed It was my fault for coming to McDonald’s on 4/20 but no I went the following morning and waited 20 mins for COFFEE!!!! People were waiting 30 plus mins for their food. Multiple people just asked for refunds. I wouldn't visit this McDonald’s again if they were handing out million dollar checks.
Welp never say never. It was 100 degrees outside and the kids were crying. And here is what happened.
I went through the drive thru at this McDonalds July 28, 2023 at around 4pm. I ordered two happy meals, a big mac meal, a large fry and a 6 piece nugget. When I went to the pick up window I was only given one happy meal. I explained to the person at the window that I was waiting for one more happy meal and she asked for my receipt. After looking at my receipt I saw that I was only charged for one happy meal. No big deal I will pay for the other one. The employee tells me that I have to go inside to pay for the second happy meal. Again no big deal. When I go inside I see that there is a long line. Since I already waiting in the drive thru line I did not want to wait again. I asked for the manager and I explained that I already waited in the drive thru line and I did not want to wait again; I just wanted to order my happy meal, pay and be on my way. The store manager STEVE said ok but you do know that big screen out there where we take you order shows you exactly what you ordered and next time you just need to look at that. He even moved his arms in the shape of a square to emphasize the fact that I should have checked on the screen. Mind you the screen he is talking about is often inaccurate. As I stood there confused as to why he was speaking to me a paying customer in such a negative manner I stopped him mid sentence and said never mind I want to return all my food. I came back inside arms FULL of food and gave STEVE my receipt to process my return. After about 7 mins STEVE comes back and still reiterates the fact that I should have looked on the big screen in front of me. He mentions that this has been happening a lot lately. What that tells me is that the cashier is having an issue taking the correct orders so I should not be shamed and embarrassed in front of the whole store over a mistake that the cashier made. I felt belittled and as if STEVE just wanted to mansplain things to me and make me feel small. ...
Read moreThe drive thru is horrible. First you wait 10 minutes for the two cars in front of you to get there orders taken and another 10 to 20 minutes to get your food. If you go here, might as well put your car in park and pull up Netflix. You'll get an episode or two in before you leave.
This is the slowest McDonald's I have ever been to. Going into the store isn't all that much better. I feel bad for the workers. They seem overworked and I'm sure they have to put up with too many impatient customers. This is probably why I keep seeing new employees getting trained because the last ones quit.
If anyone has ever gotten warm food here I'd be surprised. By the time anything is put in a bag it's room temperature.
I've always had to ask for my sauces at the window because it's never in the bag. That means waiting several minutes for a worker to notice I'm not the next car because either I'm missing something, I have no straw, no napkins, or missing a whole item. Missing items are a constant at this McDonalds. Don't even get me started on bagging. When your order is wrong you just have to wait another five minutes for them to fix, no compensation for the trouble. Don't even ask for no ice because there's always ice.
When ordering online there is a 100% chance of it being wrong. You'd think the extra time would help but online orders are somehow worse than the drive thru.
I really hope corporate comes down hard on this store. Those poor workers deserve proper training and a attentive management. I wouldn't survive is such a chaotic and toxic work environment especially with no support. This store is clearly making enough business for there to be a fuller staff. As someone who has managed fast food before I see so many avoidable problems.
To summ up, this McDonalds is a...
Read moreThis was my first visit in which I used the automated kiosk to order, and they have some bugs to work out. The whole process actually took longer than just waiting in line to order used to. I asked for the monster truck toy that my 3-year old wanted in the Happy Meal and got the little car toy instead. I ordered an apple juice with the Happy Meal and didn't get it at all (and if course didn't realize it until we got home). I tried to quietly get the attention of any of the cashiers to ask about a balloon for my child and was just flat-out ignored. When I was given my order, they did not give me a cup for the soda that I had ordered; I had to specifically ask for it. I have had customer service issues at this location before - and the corporate regional manager has at least responded to my complaints, which is more than can be said for some of the other fast food chains around. =) I will just have to remember in the future to go to the location a little farther north on Route 301 - I have never had any problems there.
... Update: December 17, 2022: Unfortunately, I forgot to not go back here and tried to get a Big Mac, 10-piece nuggets, and a Coke - quickly, and failed. They didn't have a drawer inside so I couldn't order at the counter. It took me at least 10 times as long to communicate to the kiosk the three items I wanted then it would have taken to communicate it to a person. There was trash and food all over the floor in front of and behind the counter. It took a good 10 minutes to get my three items. They waited until they gave me all the food to give me the soda cup that I had to fill myself which I could have been doing while they were preparing the food. Maybe next time I will remember not...
