I'm usually pro Target but a week ago I had the worst experience. The team themselves were nice BUT my issues is that they had an item (several) stocked in the wrong spot. The tag read "Trading Cards" which is what the item is. They were Pokémon Cards. My son got excited and wanted to spend his $50.00 "get well soon" cash on this item. He just had gotten out of surgery prior to this. We went to check out and they informed us that the price was actually $127.00. I showed them where we got it, and they stated that the Vendors stocked it wrong. They asked if I still wanted to purchase the item and I informed them not for that price. I wanted it for the price that it was advertised at. They stated they could not. I walked away, kept looking at my son who was disappointed, went back to the area and the item was still stocked in the wrong spot. The team left it there for the next customer to think it was $44.99. Again, several of the same item. I took a picture of them and went to the front desk, spoke with two team members, showed them the picture and they said they had to honor that price but need to get a manager and again stated the vendor stocked it wrong. The manager came up and said given how much the item was he could only take $20.00 off which would leave me paying $107.00 plus tax for an item that was clearly advertised at $44.99. I left and called corporate who stated that someone would reach out to correct this. I waited 7 days, heard nothing and reached out again to corporate only to be told they could not discount the item. I even suggested that they provide me a $80.00 gift card to make up for the difference and I pay the $44.99 (which it was advertised for) They said they could not give a gift card for that large of amount.....a huge corporation like Target could not provide a $80.00 gift card to correct an error that...
Read moreMy aunt stopped in to buy a Consumer Cellular phone (because the one I gave her a couple of years ago had the charge port break while she was on vacation) and none of the people in the electronics department there knew anything about phones. The phone she bought came with a T-mobile network SIM card and the associates did figure out that she needed an AT&T SIM. So they sold her one, or at least tried. They ended up selling her ANOTHER T-mobile SIM. Never did they figure out how to get the new phone activated, and sent her on the rest of her vacation with a non-functioning phone. When she got home I had to dig into it (I know a bit about activating phones since I'm a computer technician). Because they were T-mobile SIM cards, a port transfer would have had to be done even though it's the same MVNO, when the host network is different it has to be ported. So service was still activated on the old phone, and we didn't realize that until I was about 10 minutes in on a conversation with a Consumer Cellular support representative (they were great). Pulled the SIM card from the old phone, put it in the new phone, and it was good to go. I'm giving the review a 3 star instead of one, as the rest of the store could still be good as a benefit of a doubt. But if any management is reading this, PLEASE train your electronics associates more about cell phones and activating them. Or have them call the carrier/MVNO's customer service on behalf of the customers when they're having issues. I'd hate to have someone else's time wasted who doesn't have a relative who knows a thing or two about phones, because Target is one of the only stores with a wide selection of...
Read moreI use to work here. When I left a bag full of makeup there one day after work I never seen it again. I looked for it for two months everyday. Even had people check on their day off and during their shift and it was not to be found. Few more months go by and I stopped in to see if they had found anything. At this point I had left for a different job. Workers, including my ex supervisor said they did a locker clean out and all the stuff was located by the coats. I did not see my bag unfortunately. When I spoke to security for lost and found. Gave her my number, I was told they didn’t do the locker clean out and that they will within a week and I’ll get a call back. at this point it’s been months without my makeup so I wasn’t in a rush. I never heard anything. The thing is I didn’t expect to hear anything because of how sketchy everyone was when they said “oh no we didn’t clean the lockers out.” It was as if they knew who took it because my supervisor was not one to lie especially something so stupid like make up. It was about $1000 worth separated in two Walmart bags because I didn’t have a makeup container yet and I was going to see my fiancé at the airport. It also had a huge set of brushes that were black and purple my mother saved every last cent to buy me. So it’s not like you could have hid it easily unless you had a huge bag or book bag. My mothers has cancer and doesn’t have a lot of spending money to spend on random stuff, so I hope karma really bites the thief. I still shop here as it’s a person problem at the store rather than a...
