Potbelly — Restaurant in Maryland

On March 28th in the afternoon I had the worst experience at this establishment, this was the first horrible experience I've had and I come here alot.

I gave this rating a 1 star because of the horrific experience my family and I endured with one of the employees by the name of Aiden. I was able to retrieve his name from one of the other employees after I explained that my family and I were treated horribly by him and I would be contacting their corporate office.

Aiden's attitude and demeanor were unprofessional and indifferent. Not only did Aiden ignore my child and me when we were asking about two of the sandwiches and their content on them; he continued to say " Are you ready to order? , he began huffing and puffing as if we were making him upset; I spoke to him in a calm tone that we were trying to figure out what we wanted but had questions about the sandwiches, he refused to answer us and we just simply ordered. Aiden appeared disengaged and inattentive to our family needs, and rushed us.

I would like to add that I live 45 minutes to an hour away from the establishment and I drive down to this location at least three times per month, I am grieving my unborn due to a miscarriage and finally have been able to get out the house with my husband and child for an outing. Potbelly's is one of my favorite places to eat so that's why we choose to eat at this location. After the horrible treatment from this employee, I've decided not to frequent this establishment any further.

I'm unsure if this young man is dealing with things in his own life that caused him to be so mean to us, I also wondered if it had anything to do with our race being African American, I don't want to assume or judge him based off his actions toward us but we were treated so bad by him, I didn't understand it.

The cashier was very kind to us, I explained to her the situation and she apologized on behalf of the establishment and was extremely apologetic about the miscarriage I endured. She was so nice, I believe her name...

The past two times I've been here, I have ordered ahead by at least 20 minutes. Both times I've had to wait. The first time I waited almost an hour after the "pickup time" I was given in the app. In this order was a icecream sandwich. They made the icecream sandwich before they made the regular sandwich. By the time I recieved the icecream, it was half melted. I was sick of waiting so I just left. Today, I waited just over 20 minutes after the "pickup time." We ordered a "Big" sandwich and a milkshake. The sandwich was less than adequate, I feel like we paid $8 for a fancy piece of bread. The sandwich was cut into 3 pieces. It looks like they made a regular size sub, with proper meat, then made a small with half the meat. See the picture, with the measly little strip of ham. I will NOT be returning to this location. ...

Best sub I've had in years! At first bite I could taste the quality of the meat, the bread and even the fixings. Subway can't even come close! The bread is heavenly and reminds me of the "hoagies" I used to get as a kid. It''s the perfect mix of crusty exterior and slightly chewy but soft interior that perfect to prevent the bread from getting soggy and give it a nice chewing satisfaction. And it's tasty too! The gentleman who took my order over the phone was extra nice and helpful. I didn't get to meet him or check out the shop because my husband picked up the order on his way home from work.
