I normally see Panera as a good place to get fairly good/healthy food. Cost maybe a little bit more than other places? But still, had ordered 2 lobster rolls as I really like them; my first was up in Maine, so good! Panera on the other hand, it was acceptable... kinda. It had plenty of whole chunks of lobster. And the lobster was nice and tender, but marinated sauce was mediocre. What got my attention was 2 items: first, bun was not toasted or buttered. Not was the bun opened enough to fit much of the lobster meat in it. Oh well. Secondly, both my daughter and myself discovered (bit into, that is) parts of shell. She discovered one, I was lucky enough to find two! Not good! I WIL NOT order lobster rolls from Panera Bread again! However, I wanted to make the manager aware of this issue; upon asking for the manager, I was told to wait as he was busy right then. 5 minutes later (as per my watch)? Hmm! Anyway, after advising the manager, he replied that they don't shell the lobster here and told me that there is no shell in the meat! Really? Then what did my daughter and I bite into? Manager is an idiot; discounted my issue totally, refused to even acknowledge my issue. I'm a firm believer that a problem cannot be corrected if problem is not known, right? This after making me wait to see him; even though I took the time out of my life to talk to him. Totally wasted time!So problem is still not corrected. Back to my original statement; that manager is stupid! Should have at least listened, acknowledged the claim. As it is, I shall not return to that...
Read moreThe place is not well kept. I'm not sure what's hard about emphasizing the necessity for being extremely tidy and clean when it comes to public eating establishments. Store should cleaned corner to corner every night, folk preparing food should wear masks and cover their hair and change gloves frequently, bathrooms cleaned twice per shift, customers advised not to lean at the food service counter or stand over the food while waiting, tables promptly cleared, and area bussed quickly after customers dining or even partially bussed as customers finish eating, floor vacuumed frequently. Each day, every day, from door open to door close. People are watching and simply going somewhere else. No one's that hungry to put up with stomach-turning sights when visiting a Panera. Panera brand used to stand for gourmet dining, and that proffer reflected the higher pricing compared to the other competitors for a time. But now it seems that panera has forgotten what gourmet means, which is not only bespoke and quality food but also a dining experience. Management, please spend the money, pay the workers more, hire more skilled supervisors and managers, pay the well-experienced trained supervisors and staff more, and create the dining experience. The people who value it will come. What else isn't there to do with...

I ordered a steak & cheese, 2 cookies, 2 soups, and turkey bravo sandwich. I call myself checking the bag. There was 1 hot sandwich and 1 cold 2 soups and 2 chips. I failed to check for cookies. I get home I eat the soup first. My wife asked, "They didn't give you the dip that usually comes with it". I said, "Well I don't use it anyway". The reason I didn't get the dip because they gave me the wrong sandwich and no cookies. I called and no answer. I drove all the way back pretty upset. I get there, the manager is at the register. I told him I don't know what sandwich this is, but it's not the steak & cheese. The manager took the sandwich and just walked to the back. I asked the cashier, "What's going on am I getting a new sandwich or what, he just walked away"? She said, "He told them to make you a new one". After my sandwich was cooked the cashier just handed me the bag". What kind of courtesy training are they teaching managers? There was no apology, no offering something courtesy for my inconvenience, no nothing, but take the sandwich and go. Customer Service has gone down the drain! I will not return, and I encourage everyone I know and reading this to go...
