Halal Diversity — Restaurant in Maryland

This is a nice hidden gem buried in the heart of Francis Scott Key Mall. There’s plenty of seating inside the restaurant with a chill ambience. The food was great and the staff were friendly. They serve your typical halal rice bowl options, but they add their own twist. For one, even though the rice is unseasoned, the juices from the meat along with their white sauce (which tastes slightly different than other halal joints) makes it flavorful. The rice is nice and fluffy too. To be honest the gyro, although good, is nothing to write home about (standard Kronos gyro most halal rice bowls use). But you can tell they put love with the chicken and fish. The chicken is seasoned well with south Asian spices and the fish (pictured) is wonderfully flaky and melts in your mouth. I LOVE THIS PLACE I CANT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!!! i work at the mall and everyone knows this is the go to spot if you’re craving variety. The family that runs the restaurant are the sweetest things ever so respectful and transparent. Wife and I decided to try Halal Diversity for lunch and boy did it not disappoint. My wife had the Chicken and rice platter and I had the Lamb Gyro with fries. Everything was fresh cooked to order and came out warm and ready to eat. The flavor profile on the chicken and lamb were stellar and the portions were perfect for a hearty lunch. The gyro is hands down one of the best things I’ve eaten in a while. The, “Seasoned to the edge” approach with the food and the homemade sauces really plays to the taste buds.
