I have been to the Clinton, MD Ruby Tuesday three times now. They have failed to do a good job on all 3 visits. The first visit was disastrous. Employees yelling and wanting to fight each other. Talking about how someone stole their bag full of valuables that they apparently left sitting at a vacant table..
Second visit wasn’t much better. I remember the ranch dressing on the salad bar having a hair in it on the second visit and the manager extremely slowly dealing with the issues with no urgency. My burger was not cooked how I wanted it and they never brought the appetizer, Just forgot it completely.
My third and most recent visit will be my last. On my most recent visit I decided to try the Broccoli and Chicken pasta. Broccoli, chicken and pasta seemed like a simple dish that I would probably enjoy. Don’t choose it as your main entree. I don’t know if it’s better at other locations but here it was not very good. It’s a bowl of penne pasta with broccoli and a layer of chicken across the top. First off, the chicken was really dry. The seasonings on the outside was ok but it’s not likeable enough to cancel out the bad texture of the chicken. Second off, the Parmesan sauce doesn’t have any taste. That Parmesan sauce is as bland as boiled potatoes! It should have some sort of salty taste of Parmesan cheese but it has none whatsoever! I will give one positive.. The appetizer of coconut shrimp was amazing! The shrimp has a satisfying bite to it. The breading contains coconut so it makes it sweet but it’s not too sweet that it overcomes the salty/sweet flavor of the shrimp. The sriracha mayonnaise is amazing and makes the coconut shrimp a highlight.. the creaminess of the Sriracha mayonnaise works so well with the crunch of the breading. The coconut shrimp would get 5 out of 5 stars. I can’t speak highly enough about those mouthfuls of delight!! Yum!! Unfortunately nothing else came close to the coconut shrimp. Service was fair on the third visit. Charles was the waiter. He was attentive and tried his best. I gave him a decent tip but he would have gotten a better tip if he didn’t ask me “who’s kids are these, they can’t all be yours” I was with 4 kids. It’s none of his business if they’re all my children or not. Keeanie, or Keany, however you spell her name.. she’s a waitress that wasn’t even serving our table.. she went out of her way to come over near my table and comment to me “That kid shouldn’t be on your lap, there’s plenty of room” which was very rude. The child can sit wherever she wants, she chose to sit on my lap. I don’t mind it at all and she was enjoying it.
I have spoken to a manager, Andrew Chambers, twice over the past few years regarding this location. He promised both times the experiences would be better next...
Read moreUnfortunately I had an experience at this restaurant which caused me to never return. I really loathe to write this review but it’s necessary for awareness. The Waiter was rushing us on ordering and then had an attitude when I asked for another order due to receiving my order with butter surrounding the plate under my salmon from the bake potato. I purposely cut a corner piece of the salmon to make sure I don’t receive the exact same content, so the Waiter brought back the same salmon & bake potato on a different plate. The waiter lied to me about the order being new & I showed him the missing corner piece so I asked for the manager. This is a HEALTH HAZARD !!! Spoke with the manager and he provided an apology and that he was going to handle the situation. The manager did provide another order of a different selection after his attempt to make me feel better with eating at the restaurant. The new item I selected was not tasty & it may be because the experience caused me to lose my appetite. Unfortunately the manager & waiter attempt to charge me with the salad bar but it was resolved after requesting the manager again whom stated to me earlier of the order being a free meal. I use to attend this restaurant regularly but after this experience, I will never return to this location in Clinton MD. I never received an apology from the Waiter, only attitude. I wanted to give the experience from this restaurant a negative 10 but the salad bar was great but unfortunately I can’t review it on a higher scale due to the restaurant being as one. If you eat at this restaurant then Please be careful & watch...
Read moreI stopped by Ruby's to grab a drink and salad, so I walked in and sat at the bar. I waited about 15 mins to order because the bartender was running around helping with pickup orders as well as trying to manage the bar. Once I ordered my drink, I saw that she put the glass on the back counter and proceeded to help other patrons, she told me that my drink would be up soon once the manager came to pour the alcohol (titos). In my disbelief I asked her why he had to do it since she's the bartender and she informed me that she is unable to pour on certain drinks because the alcohol was in the back. Me and other guests couldn't believe it and was taken back by their policy. Many at the bar indicated that they had waited a long time for a drink and now they could see why. I witnessed in my 45 mins of being there 3 guests getting up and leaving due to being so slow. I felt really bad for the bartender because she tried so hard to accommodate everyone, but her hands were tied waiting on a manager to do the pours. I was not comfortable and didn't order anymore drinks to put the bartender through that. In speaking to others, I was told that it's Clinton's policy (not Ruby Tuesdays) to monitor all alcohol for the safety of their guests and their employees, whatever that means. If the Manager has to do all the pours, he should be the bartender. I think it's insulting to any bartender to be monitored in this fashion and if they are so concerned about "safety"...get cameras or close down the bar but to treat their bartender as if they aren't trusted to do their own pours is...
