After visiting this location today I don't believe I'll be back I'll be driving across Columbia to the Smoothie King on Linxs Road when I need a smoothie being there only two locations in Columbia this one used to be an amazing store with an amazing staff but since the change of ownership this store is going downhill very quickly the owner is a very nice woman but the team she has gathered is lacking in every form of customer service. I ordered a smoothie today that had a substitution on fruits and when they made it incorrectly and I kindly let them know they wanted to argue with me over the situation I showed them the receipt and apparently they put it into the system incorrectly when the barista told the manager that it must have been his fault and that I had ordered it correctly she began to explain to me that they only make the smoothies as the ticket says I told her it doesn't matter I just want what I ordered and I want it correct she then gave me a bunch of reasons as to why I was in the wrong and finally decided that she was going to make the Smoothie as I ordered it this is not the first time that incidences like this have occurred since the change of ownership again the owners are very nice woman but her staff has no idea what the word customer service mean and they have even less of an idea how to perform it seems the busier the store is the more and more customer service goes out the window they can't handle it and it does not seem that they care. The older woman who apparently is the store manager is normally more concerned with whatever's going on in her personal life on her phone than taking care of the customers in front of her face I've been a customer to this location for at least four or five years now unfortunately I'll be having to drive all the way across Columbia to get a smoothie from here on cuz I refuse to be treated in...
Read moreThis by far was the worst experience I’ve had at this smoothie king. I come here at least once or twice a week with other family members coming weekly as well. We’ve had problems with smoothies but have been fixed but it’s the customer service that makes this place horrible. Today i came in, placed my order and waited for my smoothie. The young lady first made my son’s smoothie which i request no bananas (our same order weekly), she sets the smoothie on the counter partially full but i don’t really care because i wasn’t sure if he would finish it. Then my second smoothie came it was too was partially filled. I asked if it was my smoothie and she proceeds to say yes i say is this a full smoothie she says well it’s like that because you removed an item. I also added an item and this also isn’t my first time getting this order. Because it was older people waiting be i proceeded to to leave. As I’m leaving out another online order comes next me and says that’s not a full smoothie quietly to me. She as well had two smoothies the same size as mine and hers were over flowing. The young lady proceeds to say you have a great day. I asked what her name was and she says I’m not giving you my name i ask why not and she says because I’m not. My family owns this place so you can’t report me to anyone. This establishment has been given chance after chase and i will no longer come to this smoothie king. Read moreThis isn’t my first visit here @ Smoothie King, however it will be my last. I had to wait upon arrival. A young lady was conversing with a gentleman. Then another gentleman comes from the back & takes my order. “The Hulk”- small, please I say. After waiting for about 25 mins I leave with my smoothie which seemed to be not as firm as i remembered previously.
I drank it @3:30 pm or thereabouts as i drove home and later that evening my stomach started to hurt me terribly. That’s when it all began. After five (5) days of feeling horrible I finally went to an urgent care facility to be diagnosed with GASTROENTERITIS- ACUTE+. 😩 I am on medication to alleviate the symptoms I’ve had for days now…..
The team must be careful when preparing food/drinks for public consumption. We are trusting you.
This is a terrible situation to be in sick for days and on Mother’s Day too!!!😢
Update on 5/23/2023 @4:30pm I called the Columbia location and the manager didn’t state her name but started asking me question after question. I felt like she was gaslighting me about how I stated I was ill after drinking THE HULK smoothie. When i asked her name she hung up one me.
