My friends and I were very excited to try The Brass Tap in Oxon Hill but instead, we were left with disappointing meals and poor service time. To begin, we were not seated by a server, and were approached after 5-7 minutes of standing at the host stand. The server that approached us said we can sit anywhere we want, however it was difficult to find a clean table for a party of 6, as the tables were almost all still unclean from previous diners. We settled for what looked like the cleanest table we were going to get and after 8 minutes we were finally approached with menus. Once we ordered our food, we waited a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes for all of our table to have their food, while other diners who walked in after us were already served. The food was brought out one plate at a time with 5-10 minute waits in between which was an issue since everyone wanted to wait for all of the food to be out, and the food that was served was cold by that time. On top of the wait, food quality was below decent. The food was oily and seemed old. My fish was overcooked and the breading had an extremely odd taste. My friends’ food was so oily, that we had to drain it into a sauce cup (which was filled from just 1 drained side dish). With all of the hassle that came with dining here, I sure did not enjoy paying a mandatory 20% gratuity on a service I did not enjoy and a meal I disliked. The music was extremely low causing diners’ chatter to be the only atmosphere I can remember. Overall, I would not eat at The Brass Tap, nor recommend it to a friend.

On Mother’s Day, my father and I took my 80-year-old grandmother out for a quick bite while visiting National Harbor, MD. We chose to support The Brass Tap, and although it made a nice first impression walking in, the experience quickly went downhill. The service was disappointingly slow, largely due to the “seat yourself” setup, which led to a long wait before we were able to place our order. We ordered two margarita flights ($20 each) and a ginger ale, along with our meals. Unfortunately, the pizza I received did not match the description on the menu, and when I raised the issue with our server, there was little effort or urgency to address the problem. At that point, I no longer wanted the pizza. After waiting 30 minutes, we were told the flights wouldn’t be coming because the bartender was “too busy.” By that time, our food had arrived, but we still hadn’t received any drinks—not even water. Between the lack of communication, poor service, and weak excuses, this visit was a real letdown. I genuinely wanted to enjoy and support this place, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend it. Do better. Look at the picture, does it look busy to you ?

In honor of happy Internatioinal Beer Day take some time out of your day and have a beer. Check out the newly opened black owned Brass Taps at the Natinal Harbor for starters. You will need to arrive early because the space is small and packed with trendy beer lovers. The owners are friendly personable with guest. The staff is new and are working through the new opening jitters, so be patient with them and have a beer. The menu has some great choices to choose from. Advice foe starters, skip the hushpuppies and get the spinach dip, it was very tasty. Brass Taps has a good selection of beers with plenty draft, bottle and can options, something for every beer lover. For International Beer Day, August 4, and a beer excursion also try some of the top local DC breweries: DC Brauer Three Stars Atlas For your next Foodie excursion follow on Instagram @Fallyns_foodie_excursions #supportyourlocalbusinesses #internationalbeerday #brasstap #fallysfoodieexcursionsbeeredition

Went to dinner on 8/12/23 @6:30 pm, family of 5. We ordered our drinks and food together: 2 Lager Drafts, 2 sweet BBQ bacon Burger 1 with no cheese (due to dairy intolerance), chicken wings, chicken tenders no coleslaw, chicken club wrap no mayo. To begin, when we were ordering the wing flavor, we asked for poblano flavor according to the menu and the online menu it's available. The server Tanisha stated they didn't have that flavor. We had to show her on the menu it was offered. She said she would have to check. She typed everything in the handheld pos system. We assumed there would be no confusion. We asked our server what beer she would recommend, and she replied, "I couldn't tell you, I dont like beer, and I don't drink beer." Tanisha came back to the table with only one beer and left, we tried flagging her down a few times. Finally, we asked another server by the name of Sharon for help. She went and told Tanisha we were missing 1 beer. She brought the beer, and we noticed it was a completely different color beer from the first one. We told Tanisha, and she said no, it just looked different, but it was the same and correct beer. My husband tasted the beers, and it was not the same beer. Only one of the beers was the correct beer we ordered. After this, it just got worse and worse. The burger with no cheese had cheese, the wrap with mayo had it, we kept trying to get her attention to get refills, and we couldn't find her. There was a male server who we observed blowing his nose in the dining area and continued working without leaving to wash his hands. He was cleaning tables and handling menus as he kept wiping his nose without washing his hands. My husband ended up getting up and walking towards the bar to ask for the bill to pay it. Management really needs to look into thissimple instructions were not followed, bad service, and not good food handling practices for preventing foodborn illness. The only one who was helpful was Sharon, and she was not our server. I was expecting something different, was excited to come to this restaurant, and left disappointed and sick...

This business owner, primarily the wife (Sharon) do very untrustworthy business.. verbally agreed to do an event at their venue and at last minute (day before event) after promotion, paid ads and marketing, they decided to change EVERYTHING we agreed upon for self benefit and greed.. in the beginning she was nice and welcoming, but once they had a position of power, they took full advantage and cornered us the day of.. the wife is extremely disrespectful with her communication, has a manipulative attitude and poor business acumen. The husband never even knew of our event and chimed in the day before as if we were taking advantage of their venue and business, and questioned why werent profits of tickets being split with them.. This is NOT what we agreed to, and your poor communication with your wife has nothing to do with us.. These people will smile in your face and be sneaky with their actions and behavior. They ruined the trust of my business from fans and event goers that ended up costing me thousands to repair and regain trust until this very day.. They still took my deposit that they requested with no reimbursement, and LIED to everyone who came to their venue the day of when fans asked about the event. They actually stated "we never heard of that" and "what is that?", Which means they were very vengeful and bitter just because we decided to cancel last minute because of their untrustful behavior, change of their agreement and bully tactics.. because of this, every single featured guest, friends, attendees and fans fully questioned the integrity of our brand and this business painted us out as liars, cons and dishonest. This also affected the image and trust of EVERYONE involved..

Will never do business with them, consider them, or refer anyone to their establishment, even for service. These people are not genuine and should be ashamed of themselves and their "business" practices.. and if you ask them directly about this, they are going to paint themselves as victim...

We decided to visit the restaurant on June 22, 2019 when a disturbing thing occurred. My husband and I order the nachos as an appetizers. I placed a nacho on my plate and my husband placed three on his small plate and topped it with salsa. I tasted my nacho first, while the favor was good (the reason for the 2 stars), I noticed that the BBQ pork topping was cold. My husband tasted his nachos, agreed with me and put two nachos topped with salsa back on the original aluminum dish it came on in the corner of the tray. After that, we finally got the attention of a waiter, told them it was cold (two waiters came over). They told us they would bring us new nachos that were hot. When we were brought our "new" nachos, the waitress had several napkins in her hand that were holding the nachos to protect her from burning her hand while carrying it. (She didn't have the protective barrier when she bought out the first tray of nachos.) The waitress warned us that the tray was hot. Shorty after, husband noticed the same nachos that he placed back on the corner of the tray were still there topped with salsa. We notified the waitress and she couldn't deny that we received the same set of nachos back and not fresh ones. Disgusting! The waitress stated that the manager couldn't come over because she was working behind the bar. Not good for business. On another note, we ordered medium burgers and they came out well done. We didn't return anything again because no telling what we would have received back. We won't be returning to...
