The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Maryland

Horrible service and food was awful. I used to love this place,but now this place is going down due to lack of customer service. These ppl are just here for a paycheck. These ppl have no compassionate for their guests or know what the meaning of customer service is all about. I won't speak about all of their employees who work there,because what kept bringing back here was the excellent customer service,but this night 11/21/19 at around 7:45pm we had the worst experience imaginable. First of all we had a server by the name of Theresa who was very unprofessional. She came over...threw the napkins across the table,never mentioned anything about the specials that were going on. She also wouldn't let us order off of the game menu until the game started,which started at 8. We decided to get some Appetizers and told her that we would like to order off of the game menu when it becomes available..which at the time that she came over to take our orders for the appetizers it was about 7:55.. We asked could she take our orders at that time. She told us that she couldn't take our orders that time and that we would have to wait until the game came on,so with that being said we waited patiently while she was sitting at the bar having a conversation with a guest. A service worker came over and brought our appetizers over while Theresa was still conversing with the same guest that she was sitting with at the bar. She never returned to check on us,and so now it's after 8pm. We asked the other waitress about ordering,she said that she'll send Theresa back over,however Theresa was still sitting at the bar engaging in her conversation with the same guest. Finally she came over and took our order as she seemed to be rushing us,so that she could continue her conversation with this same guest. Finally after waiting for it seems like hrs,our food finally made it's way to our table. The food was horrible! We ordered the Burgers. The Burgers were so greasy that as soon as u bit into it, grease was dripping everywhere. The bun was very stale. The fries were greasy as well and hard as a nail. It was a complete nightmare. Theresa never once came and checked on us,asked us did we want refills...."How was everything going?..."Nothing!" She brought my friend's beer out towards the end of our visit. Everytime I looked around she was sitting with this guest as if she was off duty. Poor customer service!!😠 She just didn't give a damn!! Everytime that we came there in the past, the manager or other staff members always came around and asked us how things were going,and treated us like true guest. We always felt welcomed when coming here,but from now on I'll spend my money where I can expect great customer service. Oh and btw..this place wasn't even crowded for us to have to endure this type...

The customer service here was terrible. My mom and I picked this restaurant for a week day outing together. When we arrived we were NOT greeted my the hostess, who wore red braids. She just stared at us didn’t say hello or greet us. From my understanding the whole point of an hostess is to greet customers. We asked for a table for two. She took us to the right side of the restaurant to a booth. I asked if we could sit at another booth since the restaurant was not busy at all (as I mentioned it was the middle of the week) and I wanted to avoid our conversation clashing with the couple in the booth beside us. The hostess looked at me and asked where do we want to sit, I told her the table and she said oh okay. So my mom and I grabbed our menus and moved. We sat there for 10-15 minutes talking when she realized no one came to the table to offer water, utensils or to even say they will be with us shortly. Two serves walked by never greeted us. So I went back to the hostess and asked if there was someone waiting our table because no one had been back to greet us or offer us anything to drink. The hostess goes on to say where are you sitting, I point to the table and she says he’ll get to you soon. At this point I told my mother let’s go because this is unacceptable. The blatant nonchalant attitude and servers walking past without greeting us was unacceptable. I really wish establishments like this took customer service serious. You never know who will come into your business for service and if you have the wrong person representing your business, it could cost them future customers. From my understanding Green Turtle has a 5 minutes rule where customers sitting at a table should be greeted by the server within 5 minutes max (could be shorter). That never happened. Some of the staff here have bad attitudes and do not understand the whole concept of the hospitality industry. Needless to say, as a first time customer, I will never go back to...

Long story short: I tried to go to green turtle again ( for I have been a customer for over 7 years).

NEVER again will I go there. Ive had bleach in my food and now HORRID customer service. If your consider green turtle or somewhere else. Choose somewhere else.

Previous Review: I am a regular customer of Green turtle. Spent a ton of money over the past few years. My previous visit, I was informed as long as i sat down before happy hour ended id be fine. ie. happy hour is 3-6

Today during my visit I arrive a few minutes before their happy hour ended and sat shortly before it ended. By the time my server arrived it was a couple minutes after. The server informed me that the other server had mad a mistake.

Unfortunately, I ended up paying for that mistake. Had i'd been giving the correct information, I would have just walked right over to the bar and ordered my drinks and appetizers there and had them sent to the table.

The manager, Andrea, then came over to tell me that there is nothing that she could do and that she would not honor what i'd been told. This isn't the first time green turtle has messed and it cost me. This is extremely bad business and i'm very disappointed in Green turtle, especially considering the amount of mistakes i've endured.
