CRUMBL 11/30 Donnie bought 6 pies at the Arlington, Washington store (he had someone else pick up. One of the pies was the cookies and cream. When opened the box at home, we noticed it was much much smaller and tin was even much smaller. I called at 9:19 pm and asked for the manager, ended up talking with the team lead who answered. Shared my concerns both that they were smaller and for having to pay a dollar more for each pie, which is our choice, I would expect they would be the same. He said that they ran out of the larger tins but they all weigh the same as they have to measure each one prior to baking. He said that it just gives the appearance of being smaller. I stated that I have a scale for weighing food items and I would check myself. Also taking pictures if not the same. I weighed and the cookies and cream which was 146 grams. Weighed the 3 key limes which varied in weight (219, 231.5 and 251.6). Called back at 9:50 pm and spoke to lead again. I explained that we did weigh and that they were so far off, with the key lime almost double. He asked me how big I thought the cookies are to which I said I don't care about the cookies, I bought the pies to which I paid more per pie. He said that the 146 grams comes to 4.4 ounces which they should measure about 4.5 ounces for the cookies and cream. I also said if they are measured then why do the key lime range from 219 to 252, he didn't respond but in all fairness I did not give him a chance because I was extremely angry and had enough of the lying. I said that I am posting on their website and sending to their corporate the pics and video. I told him that essentially he lied directly to me and he said well that is your opinion. Tell me how it is my opinion when he told me they are the same size but visually it gives the appearance of being smaller. Then he tells me that the weight of the cookies and cream was only 4.5 ounces. After thought, if they are using the smaller tins because they ran out of the larger size, could you imagine what they would look like in the big tin. Additionally, I looked at the nutritional information on the Crumbl site and they should all be about the same size, give or take a few grams. The fact that not only did he bold face lie to me on the first call, but a different lie on the second call. So I guess it was not just my opinion. This is the only store that we have had a few issues with, but will NEVER go back. All, just look at the “ illusion” between the two What a joke!!! Crumbl, if you would like to discuss, please PM me your...
Read moreAMAZING cookies! I recommend sharing one with someone, Just because by the end of the whole cookie it can be kind of sickeningly sweet. But let me tell you.. I've only had three cookies from here in total and they have all been absolutely mind blowing. Especially the cookies and cream and CINNAMON SWIRL. Yes, they are expensive and yes, the atmosphere is annoying, but it's the type of cookie that will make you just stop and close your eyes and savor it.
I take off a few stars only because I really don't appreciate the lack of labeling. I really think the inside or bottom of the box should include pictures of each cookie flavor with the allergens listed. Even a paper insert would suffice, or, at minimum. their website. Their site only includes the nutrition info for that particular week's flavors, which is very dangerous and irresponsible, in my opinion. Because of this lack of available data, I had a severe allergic reaction to what I thought was a toffee chip cookie but was actually peanut butter. Since I received the cookies on a Sunday, their website had removed all and any information about the "previous week's" flavors (even though it was only one day ago) and the cookie looks identical to the toffee sea salt of theirs I had tried before. Why on earth wouldn't they just keep the allergen info/nutrition info for all their flavors available?
Although I should have been safe and not eaten the cookie at all, it all could have been avoided had the information been available on their website or present on the box/paper insert. With the day and age we live in with allergens and intolerances, I am surprised they aren't more on top of this. Since they are still a new-ish company, I would think this is certainly an important and easy area for improvement that they could integrate, but there is no contact form or email anywhere on their site, other than phone numbers for each individual franchise location - which is...
Read moreUpdate update update update update..... is the first time in a year and a half that they actually cooked the chocolate chip milk chocolate cookies to where they're ooey gooey. I don't know if I necessarily like it that way but they finally did it right. Basically their ovens were too hot or they were leaving them in way too long. But this time they were perfection and I'm still a little pissed off that they couldn't do this all along. It's just too bad it can't leave you another picture cuz I want to leave the old one up. . .
All right so going there a whole bunch, originally they were doing great then the cookies were a little bit on the raw side and then they started getting overcooked where there was not the ooey gooey. So today I went down and got a party pack. Well guess what they got their ovens too hot they're crispy crunchy and tomorrow they're not going to taste that great and they got no ooey gooey, I used to be able to eat one and a half cookie before it got to be too much now I can eat three anyways the customer service online obviously is not an office so I get to take the cookies back tomorrow and say I would like my money back. We'll see how that goes It's a little frustrating to have to do something like that and tell whoever that is the reason why is because they're overcooked and typically managers don't take criticism well It's a little frustrating to have to do something like that and tell whoever that is the reason why is because they're overcooked and typically managers don't take criticism well. I wanted to freeze these and be able to heat them up and that's not going to happen so he'll be in the freezer tonight but I'll take him back tomorrow with irritating cuz that's half hour...
