Sleep Number — Hotel in Marysville

I visited today and said I was getting prices to compare for mattresses/beds and was met with a pushy, argumentative and condescending sales person.

I was asked for my name, Street address, email address and phone number before being given any pricing info. When I said I prefer not to give that until I've made a decision to buy, I got push back and arguments for a few minutes before I could get pricing at all.

Apparently everything is priced separately, and getting a clear price on items was frustrating. For example when quoting price for a mattress, the sales person assumed that I would be getting delivery and that price was added without asking, so I had to ask her specifically what the mattress and delivery charges were. If I recall correctly the delivery price was around $250.

Prices are also ridiculously high compared to literally every other bed/mattress store in the area. It get that sleep number beds have extra features, but I cannot see adjustable firmness being worth 3-10x more than a regular bed.

I went to one of their local competitors instead. For a little more than the price of the second cheapest mattress with delivery, I was able to get both a queen and twin XL mattress which are just as comfortable as the one I was shown, with adjustable frames and mattress covers for both, free delivery and $50 haul away of my...

We were apprehensive about investing so much into a new mattress. We had a older model sleep number bed (gotten from another company like mattress depot) and it was not fitting our needs anymore. We stopped in and worked with Scott at the Marysville store and he was so helpful and didnt pressure us at all on pulling the trigger or trying to sell us the most expensive model. He listened to us about what was important and really steered us to the right direction on what we eventually purchased. Yes these mattresses are expensive, but the huge difference between what my husband needs in a mattress and what I need made a traditional mattress not really work for us, and needed to be able to set our respective sides differently. Advice to new customers: If you need a new bed in a timely fashion DONT expect to get your bed in under 6 weeks. We spent around 5k and thought we would have a bed in a few weeks. Just to find out it’s going to be months. Mind you we didn’t buy any furniture or base. Just the mattresses. Had we bought a base or furniture they said even longer. And we are now almost 7 weeks from when we purchased and still counting. We have no idea when we will be getting our mattress. In the meantime we are suffering in pain. Had we known all this, we would not have purchased from this store as we were not told it would be this long until after the card was processed.
