I have stopped here 4 different times at different times during the day. Each time has been disappointing. Each time I was the second person in line and had to wait much longer than should have been necessary. The employees do not seem to have the basic grasp of what they are supposed to be actually doing and need prompting at each step. After a day or two of this a competent manager would know whether the employee is going to work out or not. They didn't know how to even write down my order for the person cooking, and I would think they should have got that at least within an hour or so. Clearly they did not work together as a team and everything took so much longer than it needed to. For example, the customer in front of me wanted the sandwich cut in half with lettuce on one of the halves wrapped separately. Picky, yes, but not hard to understand. The employee was thrown for a loop and never did quite understand what to do. I understand young employees and I understand we all had to start somewhere, but there is such a thing as higher expectations as well and you can't have an entire store with employees on that level. The bottom line is this: the food is coming out too slow even if it is a cold sub, the food is too expensive for what you are getting (the meat is very lacking as others have stated), the food is nothing special flavor/texture-wise especially for the price, and other places do it much better. My sandwich wasn't bad, but it was not worth the hassle of waiting too long, pay too much, and still end up with nothing much different than other competitors. I have not been to other Jersey Mikes so I cannot compare this store from others...
Read moreJersey Mike's has been my favorite sub place since I learned they were opening a store in Ohio near my work in the '90s. Back then, I could eat a giant sub in about 2 hours. I enjoy watching my subs being made and can ask for changes while they make my sandwiches.
Two weeks ago, I ordered delivery, and this is the second time in a row that the same thing went wrong. I specifically asked for all the wet ingredients, like oil, vinegar, and mayo, to be left off the sandwich and put in cups on the side. I used to like a soggy bun, but now, when I save half the sub for the next day, I don’t want it falling apart from the wet ingredients.
I ordered the Club Deluxe with added roast beef and extra cheese, and I was surprised they didn't skimp on the Meats. Many fast-food places now offer smaller portions, but Jersey Mike's kept their standards high.
I’m disappointed to give this a 3-star rating, but I saw my request on the confirmation email and receipt. If it weren't for that, I would have thought I made a mistake when placing the order. This is the second time it has happened.
I usually don’t like to order delivery because they often get it wrong. However, I’m in therapy right now, recovering from two broken knees, so I can’t pick up the...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I LOVE Jersey Mike's. Let me second by saying I HATE it in Marysville. The food is great, but the managerial oversight from management is terrible. For a company that charges more than the other 5 competitors in town, you'd expect more. The food is the same as other locations, but WOW, this management team (led by a middle aged woman), plays by the book way too much. Either walk in knowing that you'll get no help on anything that affects the bottom line, or don't walk in. It pains me, but as much as I hate 'Freaky Fast' Jimmy Johns, or 'Your Way' Subway, their food is not much worse, and the reluctance to part with $$ is so much less. I wish we (Marysville), could get someone who gets it.... Pay more for food = better quality and service. NOT: Pay more for food = great quality, similar sizes and options, HORRIBLY cheap management. ...
