Sweet Waves, regrettably, fails to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. During what should be a manageable off-season, I entered an empty store only to find a disengaged employee absorbed in a computer screen while the environment around them was shockingly dirty. Tables were left uncleaned, floors were littered, and general disarray overshadowed any potential charm the space once had. Sweet Waves knocked it out of the park at the Dayton Hispanic Heritage Festival today! The Walking Tacos and street corn were absolutely out of this world—packed with flavor and the perfect festival food. What really set them apart, though, was the people behind the counter.
