I hate giving 2 stars or less but I have to do what a brother has to do LOL. I came here with a pretty large party of 6 people and this place was chosen by someone in the party and of course I checked it out when it was recommended a couple of weeks ago. I saw the reviews and pics and thought this should be all good. I haven't had Thai in a while and was waiting to come to spot to break my Thai food drought. So when I arrived here I was ready to get down to business and get my grub on and crack jokes etc.. my overall experience was a disappointment.
Ambiance/Decor: 3.5 out of 5 stars
Upon entering the business the place looks pretty decent and clean overall. Casual and quiet. Definitely a place to have an intimate one on one with some as you have plenty of privacy between tables with your party. The table settings were nice and neat which I loved. They had some decent artwork on the walls. Place was comfortable even though the ambiance didn't blow you away.
Customer Service: 3.0 out of 5 stars
Upon entering we were not greeted which for me is always a bad start lol. Now the whole time we were there only one guy and no one else was serving all the tables as it got more crowded around 7pm. (We arrived at 6pm ish and it was empty) Poor guy was all over the place and course the customer service was not the best just because he was one person. He was a nice pleasant patient guy because some of us took forever to order. He did allow us all to do separate checks which was why my friend choose this place which was a big plus for convenience for big parties. That alone got them an extra star
Food: 2 out of 5 stars
I have been to a million Thai spots because it one of my favorite cuisines and I have to honestly say this was one of the most disappointing as far food quality and taste. The only thing on the menu that I had that was decent was "Crab N Shrimp Rolls" and green sauce was pretty good. My "Pad See Ew" Sauteed Flat Noodles with Chicken, Chinese Broccoli and Thai Gravy was not good at all. Dry, BLAND NO FLAVOR AND TASTELESS. It was lacking chicken which was the meat I selected with my order not to mention the meat i did have was not good at all there is no other way to say it. I a little of my friend Pineapple fried rice which I have had many times and the Fried Rice was dry no flavor just BLAND. Only one person enjoyed there food overall out of a party of 6. I really wanted to like this place but it fell short as far as the food was concerned.
Overall is it possible I caught them on a bad day perhaps (But I doubt it LOL) I would not return based on my food experience which is one of the main reasons you go to a restaurant. I was so disappointed in my food that I didn't even bother to attempt to try their Thai Iced Tea out of fear of more disappointment and thats one of my favorite drinks. Other notes private parking lot and use Google Maps because it is not visible from the street. I should have known it was going to be a bad sign when I saw the place closes at 8:15PM who the hell closes at 8:15PM on a Tuesday LOL and then a sign says you can be seated at no later than 8:00pm so you can put you order in and finish you meal in 15 minutes (INSERT CONFUSED EMOJI HERE) For veteran Thai foodies I would not recommend you come here based on my previous Thai...
Read moreWe have had the opportunity to order take out twice from Siam Smiles. What can I say? It’s family run and you can tell meals are cooked with not only the right mix of ingredients, but a lot of love and pride. The Curry Puffs are a delicious starter. Flakey and flavorful with morsels of curry kissed chicken. The chicken satay is deliciously marinated and tender and a favorite for both the adults and kids in our house. Red curry—-say no more! Perfectly spiced (your spice preference) with a great mix of vegetables and protein (shrimp is the choice here) that really suck up the aromatics of the curry and make it tough to draw the line as you attempt to save a bit for the next day (the struggle is real!). Pad kee mao is full of flavor and I like to get it kicked up a notch. The basil adds to the fresh taste with an earthy delight.
This is a great spot and it’s worth stopping in. Meals are prepared with your taste in mind and realize you can’t rush perfection. The wait time may exceed your estimate a bit depending on the night but it’s worth the wait. I promise. Portions...
Read moreSiam Smiles is under new ownership as of October 1, 2022 so any reviews before that time are obsolete. We went on a cold day with some friends for lunch. This is a small strip center restaurant. The appetizers were plentiful for sharing and had good flavor. The Calamari Laab was sauteed just right and the the seasoning had just the right amount of flavor and heat.. The fresh roll and spring roll were also well flavored. Our lunch dishes were also plentiful and you can request the amount of heat you would like the dishes to have. Two of us had the Seafood Noodle dish - one mild and mine very hot. This is a noodle soup with shrimp, calamari, fish and lots of noodles. I would have liked a little less noodles and more broth and maybe a little bit more heat, but totally enjoyed the dish. My wife had the Pad Thai very mild. The dish still had a nice flavor and was more than enough for lunch. My friends and I enjoyed our lunch and would recommend this restaurant to all. Remember, reviews before 10/1/22 are obsolete since there is...
