my wife and I went here for our 34th Wedding Anniversary and I must say, we were pleasantly surprised !! .. It had been YEARS since we have been to a Carraba's. Not sure why really, we always enjoy eating there. What Started as a disaster of a night ( we first went to a different restaurant that rhymes with Dead Bobster, waited 10 min to get seated, then ANOTHER 20 MIN after being seated , without being acknowledged one single time by ANYONE , so we got up and walked out) ended up being a FANTASTIC night thanks to Carraba's !! We were greated with a smile and seated as soon as we walked in..Within 10 minutes our server had our drinks and DELICIOUS warm Bread with Olive oil dipping deliciousness on our table.. we ordered stuffed mushrooms for our appetizer and they were amazing !!! My wife ordered the Pollo Rosa Maria and I ordered the Johnny.. Both dishes were melt in your mouth good. My Sirloin was tender and flavorful ( most sirloin's are a bit chewy, but this was perfect ) My grilled chicken was loaded with so much flavor, its making my mouth water as I type this !! My wife Loved her chicken as well... Was the night perfect?? well, no..My wife's stuffed chicken was undercooked in a couple of spots. At first we thought it was discoloring from the prosciutto, but it wasn't...we pointed it out to our sever , just so they know, trying not to make a huge deal over it, and within seconds the manager was at our table and automatically took my wife's dinner off the bill and gave us a free dessert as well.!!!..Some folks would be freaking out about the chicken, well we aren't some folks, we know in life mistakes can happen and we know that stuffed chicken can be undercooked at times. The way they handled it without us demanding one single thing, is a sign of EXCELLENCE in our eyes and didn't phase me one bit when I gave them 5 stars..Thank You Carraba's for saving our Anniversary Date night.. You can be certain we will be back on a regular basis..We can't wait to try everything on...
Read moreLet me start with the waiter. He was nice but slow at moving around and following up. At times when he was needed, we had to get other's attention for assistance in finding him. He spoke very softly, and therefore, it was hard hearing him at times since it was a nice crowd. Next, the food. I ordered the fancy salmon dish w/ garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The salmon and asparagus were overcooked to my liking. After eating a good portion due to my waiter not being anywhere to be found, I asked for a redo. Of course, it was prepared and all food items were on point. But after all that, this is what leads me to even make a review in the first place. When I initially asked for the redo, I didn't ask to speak to the manager. Never crossed my mind. I wasn't even upset about having to send it back. At some point while waiting, I had to use the restroom. When I returned to my table, I learned that the manager (black lady) had come over to apologize and stated that my meal would be removed from the bill. She never returned to apologize to me directly but walked pass me several times thereafter. This is when I get upset bc a free meal was never the goal. I just wanted the food to be prepared correctly. There was a family (white family) behind me whom also had a complaint and the general manager (white male) returned to their table several times to follow up. Since my meal was free, I didn't get to participate in the $10 take out special. I paid full price for my takeout meal and it was missing items. No soup or salad. I didn't say anything bc i could obviously tell from prior events that the whole roof would have been blown off the place. I will never return off...
Read moreFunny thing about our night out to celebrate. We decided to try something new/different from our usual steak or burrito sit in spots. When we first walked it,there was no one around to greet or seat us. I almost thought the restaurant was closed. Then we looked around and started seeing customers tucked away in the corners of the building, interesting? We waited for a few moments, then asked the bartender at the empty bar if anyone was available to seat us. He stated someone would be there shortly. A few waiters/waitresses passed by but never looked up or our way. Lastly, a waiter came by the check-in booth but had his back to us. Did a once over glance at the tables and guests now seated and walked away. So we decided to just leave, thinking this restaurant is just too busy for us, lol. Going next door, our normal super famous and super busy steakhouse had a long line of guests waiting to be seated. Disappointing, yet understandable. So we went back, to the Italian joint thinking maybe we can bran someone’s attention and seat us, so I called them, and someone picked up, great! Telling them briefly about the incident, they stated someone would be at the front to take care of us. Alright, celebration dinner take two.. Just as promised someone greeted us at the door and seated us to continue our dinner plans. Our was server was good and we didn’t run into any more issues. The food was hot. Starting with our soup, we found it tasty. The main entrees were good and the remainder of...
