Kind staff, lovely home made healthy vegan food and some more unique smoothie combinations. Can dine indoors or outdoors and have a customer toilet.(ask for the key)
We had the Caesar kale salad which was the best kale salad Iâve had so far on the island- very flavourful!
My husband had the avocado on toast which was a safe option, minus the chili flakes for him due to an allergy. Hint of lemon and black pepper as substitute was the perfect combination!
To drink we selected the Super c soother and to finish Choc chia moose desert and a Chocolate covered âbomb.comâ oat bar. The smoothie and chia pudding didnât have too much sweetness to it, which was perfect balance between healthy and gentle hint of sweetness without overpowering your taste buds. If you fancy something with a bigger kick of sugar, the bomb.com oat bar will hit the spot.
If you are used to âfast food styleâ smoothies, some of choice health bar smoothies may seem more bland tasting for you than the sugary intensity âunhealthy smoothiesâ provide. The staff can always add extra honey (or other alternatives) to improve your âtaste bud experienceâ based on personal preference.
We thoroughly enjoy walking around in this quaint shopping area it has lovely independent shops...
Read moreClean, healthy food tucked into this little surf town like it belongsâsincere, sun-drenched, maybe a bit smug, but it earns it. You walk in and you're greeted by the kind of people who actually enjoy kale. Everything here is raw, organic, aliveâbut in that good way, not the expensive LA nonsense way. Itâs not cheapâdonât fool yourselfâbut compared to what the resorts charge for a sad banana and watery green juice, itâs a steal. Load up: smoothies, bowls, juices, grab everything that catches your eye, then toss it all in the mini fridge back at your hotel. Suddenly youâve got breakfast and lunch sorted for days, and your gut will thank you. If youâre trying to do Maui on a ramen-noodle budget, this place might hurt. But if you want real food that actually makes you feel goodâand youâre okay spending a little more than the grocery storeâthis is...
Read moreI was so delighted when I spotted a cafĂ© sign promoting a healthy lifestyle â of course I had to step inside. I ordered my favorite dish: açaĂ with lilikoâi (passion fruit). First of all, the portion of açaĂ was literally tiny. And the lilikoâi? Not a single piece in sight. As a vegetarian with a very fine-tuned sense of taste, I noticed right away. The staff tried to explain that the fruit was âhiddenâ somewhere in the branded açaĂ mix đ â but letâs be honest, such excuses donât work on seasoned California tourists whoâve been to Hawaii more than once. The granola portion, on the other hand, was enormous â probably a horse wouldâve been thrilled about it. In short, if you go to Island Vintage Coffee at Whalers Village and try their açaĂ lilikoâi moana bowl, youâll understand exactly...
