Thai spicy LLC is a hole in the wall restaurant with 4-5 tables inside. The place was empty when we went there so we were seated right away. My friend and I got the fried Thai spring rolls, and it was crispy and not super greasy. The sauce also had the right amount of sweetness. We also got Thai ice tea, and it was delicious. It was a full big glass of Thai iced tea, and we were almost considering buying another one to go. For our entree, we got pad ke Mao and crispy fish with sweet and sour. You can pick the spice level that works for you. We both picked 2 since we were traveling the next day. It had just the right amount of kick to it. Pad ke Mao was very flavorful and delicious. Crispy fish was cooked well delicious as well. Fish was cooked well. It also came with rice, though it wasn't needed. Overall, the portions were very generous for the price we paid. Read moreIt's inexpensive... But if you're looking for amazing, natural tasting, fresh Thai food you may be disappointed. The fried springs rolls smelled like fish... Even though they are veg. I wanted to ask the chef if they use MSG.. because it really tastes that way. I ordered Tofu Padthai. It was ready immediately which could mean that it was leftovers from yesterday? The fishy smelling spring rolls tasted like old, refried, yesterday's rolls. The sauce was also tooth achingly sweet. I'm not brave enough to explore the rest of the menu because there are other, superior Thai places on island. On the whole it felt like an American version of Thai food that was not refreshing. I want to feel fueled and good after a meal... This did not do...
Read moreA hidden gem located on the safer side of Paia town. Great customer service and big portions.
The crispy shrimp wrapped wonton and the crab rangoon were packed with flavor. I thought it was very innovate with how they prepare their crispy shrimp wrapped in wonton. It’s a genius take on a type of shrimp tempura.
My husband got the Thai basil scallops and I got the Pad See Ew with shrimp. The shrimp in the Pad See Ew are big and they were very generous with the amount of shrimp as well. I love the big portions! You definitely get your monies worth.
I also ordered a side order of sticky rice. I was over the moon that they had sticky rice. It’s the real deal, very nostalgic.
Would eat here again! Good food, great customer service, safe and convenient location. Closer to all of the better shops in Paia...
