Tried this place for Coffee Quest. We walked in and the room was fairly full of people at the tables. This is usually a good sign. We were the third group in line. Each group had two people. So there were four people technically in front of us. From walking in the door to receiving my coffee, it took about 40 minutes. Even if you're brand new to making lattes and coffee, to prep, steam, and wash it takes no more than five minutes a drink, and that's being rather generous. You should be able to make 2-4 drinks before needing to wash anything, especially as a business. There were three people working, but they definitely needed better time management. Maddie and Bella (Toledo) are notoriously slow, but not this slow. This place looked nice at least.
On to the order. I got the Lilac and Honey latte. My wife got the pumpkin pie latte, which was the daily special. She also got the peanut butter and banana toast. She said the toast was delicious. And it certainly was a decent portion. So props there. But her latte tasted like (my words) someone sprinkled nutmeg on a shot of espresso, poured in some milk, shook it all over ice, and called it a day. She didn't like it, and gave it to our son. As someone who can tolerate straight espresso, the first thing he said was that it was really bitter. He at least finished it though. But not something you would expect for a latte based on a traditionally sweet pie. The lilac and honey latte was decent. The honey was noticeable, but there wasn't anything floral about the flavor palate, if that's what you are looking for.
At least I can say I've tried the place. Which is the whole point of Coffee Quest 419. But I likely...
Read moreI usually frequent this coffee shop. After today I will be pausing going there. I went there two days ago and got a white coconut latte, it was there latte of the day. It was very good, for the past 10 years i always order my drinks with oat milk and light on the flavor. When I order them here they are usually spot on. This time however, I gave my order to the barista, just like that. Got into the car and they were incredibly to sweet. So I went back in and asked if I could get them remade since these where to sweet, and we have never had them this sweet in the past when we ask for it. She then tried to argue with me saying well then you have to say you want a 1/4 sweet the next time. Which I have never had to say before. She then remade them I also wanted to make sure when she remade them she made them with oat milk. Which she then said no they were not made with oat milk, and that I never said I wanted them made with oat milk. I then stated I did say that after I said light on the flavor. She just seemed to argue with me about what I did and supposedly did not say. Definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, and feel not coming back if that’s how I’m going...
Read moreI come here every day that I can.
The Lilac Lady is a wonderful specialty beverage (lilac and honey latte- try it iced).
The staff are all friendly and diligent in fulfilling orders.
Cozy indoor seating with warm lighting and a piano in the back. Outdoor seating / patio area. Sometimes you'll be in the presence of a crepe food truck (they serve tacos as well, last I checked) 😋
If you get a chance to meet the owner, you're in luck. She is one of the nicest managers I have had the chance to talk to. Perpetual smile, doesn't distract from the work being done, and she has that motherly aura that just makes you more comfortable when she says "Hi".
OH! If you go, join the pub club! After 10-12 drinks you get a free one. They ask for your phone number each time you pay.
Nothing but lovely vibes and...
