Wendy's — Restaurant in Mayfield Heights

I am very disappointed with the level of service and timeliness that we received at this Wendy’s.

Firstly, we were in a pretty short line of only two cars ahead of us and we waited 9 min to get to the order screen. I don’t believe it was the customers ahead of us slowing down the process.

Secondly, when we got to the order screen the woman said please hold and didn’t come back to take our order for another five minutes. When she did ask what we wanted, it was a very simple chicken sandwich add a piece of cheese. She didn’t understand the words and instead of asking politely she said “say what? I don’t know what you just said” and then we said it again, and she didn’t reply. Then we said hello? And she said “waiting on you!” It was just very unprofessional and not at all friendly.

When we got to the window, she didn’t even look at us or greet us, she just took the card and three min later gave it back with the bag in a very dismissive way. She didn’t say have a good day or anything nice, in fact, my friend said thank you to her because she was not even addressing us. The attitude was very rude and does not make you want to come back to this establishment if your workers are going to be so unwelcoming. Please have a training session with them to educate properly on how to deal with guests. I worked at McDonald’s growing up and I know it isn’t an easy job, however customers still deserve to be treated with respect. This location is always out of poplar flavors (e.g. cherry & vanilla) in their Coke freestyle machine when I visit. This time the co2 on their machines (both dining room and in the back) was running out too. They usually are running low on spoons and forks in the dining room ketchup and utensils station. The line for the drive thru is always crazy long (arround the building almost out to the street). When I go inside the line usually is not long but takes forever getting the food after ordering. They have plenty of staff on hand behind the counter / in the kitchen but it seems that only 1 or 2 know what they are doing while the rest are pretty clueless and are constantly having to be corrected by the shift manager / team lead. (Here's a thought...if employee can't handel putting orders together behind the counter have that 1 go clean up tables in the dining room and check on things like the ketchup and utensils in the dining room so they are not getting in the way in the kitchen during a lunch rush.) They recently remodeled this location however I do NOT like it! The remodel it trying to emulate a modern style but it looks super cheap. They wasted a ton of space in the dining room lobby and it feels like they made the dining room seating area smaller. The parking on the entrance side of the building is very tight and difficult to back out of with the drive thru line wrapping arround the building, especally when the drivers waiting for the drive thru line do not hug the building tightly inside the lane lines painted for...

As a fellow customer service worker I dread leaving such a bad review. Every time I’ve been here I’ve had problems. I went in at around 4:00 yesterday afternoon. The door was locked, but a kind stranger came and opened the door for us. I stood at the counter for about 10 min, the many girls behind the counter just looking around clueless not wanting to help, just playing with their hair. Eventually a manager had asked them if the people at the counter (my boyfriend and I) had been helped, since the girls didn’t answer and all they did was roll their eyes, the manager came over and took our order. She wasn’t very nice but I didn’t care I was hungry and just wanted food. Our order was actually correct this time (Unlike the past 3 times we’ve been there). We made the mistake of sitting down next to the door. That they had locked and many people tried to come up and open the door, I let a few people in before getting yelled at behind the lady behind the counter because apparently they just make their own hours anymore. Clearly they don’t want any business. I don’t know why all these people are getting paid to stand around and do nothing and deny customers service. Every time I’m here the employees are very rude, and the managers aren’t much better but at least they’ll take your order. I hate how close this Wendy’s is to my apartment.
