5th Avenue Deli & Grill — Restaurant in Mayfield Heights

It was an absolutely horrible experience.

I placed 12 orders on the phone from their on line menu. Then, when I went to pick it up the next day, it became apparent to me they charged me for the prices on their restaurant menu and not their on line menu. The difference is price was by $40.00! They then had the audacity to blame me for their mistake. They told me there is a sign on their door that clarifies the prices on line are different from the prices in their menu. I ask you, how would I know about this sign if I placed the orders at work from their on line menu? They were rude. They were disrespectful. They even insulted me on top of blaming and telling me I'm wrong. The icing on this cake is that they told me previous customers have also had this complaint and yet they still have not updated their prices on line, and I'm sure overcharged them as well. I have NEVER dealt with a company that blamed the customer for their fault. I urge you to reconsider giving this dishonest, rude and disrespectful...

I went in the restaurant and ordered a takeout and paid for it. No one said where I should wait or told me I could sit at a table. After 20 minutes of standing, I asked if I could sit. During the next 25 minutes of waiting, several tables of people came in and sat. They ordered and received their food: one table actually finished. I was still waiting! After 45 minutes my food finally came. I told them it was ridiculous to wait that long and got a story of how busy they were. That doesn’t explain how people who came in at least 15 minutes after me were waited on and received their food! The corned beef was dry and didn’t come with the condiments I ordered. No dressing on Turkey...

We just left 5th Ave. Deli & Grill and finish our meal, and I can say, Hands Down- this is the best Deli I have ever been too! Not only was the atmosphere and staff utterly amazing, friendly and made you feel right at home, I could not ask for a more satisfying meal! My daughter's cheeseburger was humungous! My turkey club was busting at the seams with meat, and my fiancé's Reuben was to die for! The homemade home fries were absolutely mouth watering. The tabouli was made fresh while we waited, and is purely a taste from Lebanon ! This place will be my 'go-to' spot for every meal, and I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone and everyone I know!
