Mayfield Hts is losing all of their great pizza spots!!!

Went here on 3-15-24 to dine in and will never do that again!!! Although I love their pizza the kids they hire are the worst at customer service!!!

The whole place smelled like weed, then every table was dirty, no one approached us to take a drink order and to let us know they were contactless ordering (which I found out the following day when I tried to complain about the service). After we waited a few minutes I went to the window to ask if we should’ve seated ourselves, and was told yes. Immediately a young girl went up to that girl and said “What was that all about?”. She didn’t even wait till I was out of ear shot!!! Someone finally came out to clean all the tables EXCEPT for the one we were seated at!!! After waiting for about 20min. we left.

The next day when I tried to complain about the service I was told there were 4 managers?! The one “kid” I spoke with absolutely gave me NO satisfaction. I was told the place smells of weed due to the smoke shop next door (which I do visit on occasion, and I can tell you that it is NOT from that shop). The front and back of Masters’ wreaked!!! For the amount of people that they had working there that night (all congregated up front) I would have thought someone would have been a little attentive. Boy was I wrong! There employees walked past us several times without even acknowledging us.

In the end, greet your customers when they enter your establishment, keep the restaurant CLEAN and ready for the next customer, if you are going to have contactless service, have a sign or approach the customer to let them know...

I dont post often... only when it really needs to be said. So im in the industry (who cares right?), but i have to stress that the opinion and compliment im about to give is coming from a professional, published and very well regarded chef from New England. I was in town for a few days for a funeral. And just because its a pizza, or a hot dog doesnt mean whoever executed this did it not only perfectly (i mean... we all have good pizza), but i can appreciate it despite those who may turn their nose at it. I had a calzone and a chicago pizza from here. 20 dif options for delivery, i found shopping by PHOTOS ONLY online for best food around is the.only effective way, given i can see if this place is doing it right. And i was right. The key for both.my pizza and calzone started in the crust. Its not hard.to roll out crust, but whatever was done here, was no only expertly done, but artistic. Thickness, seasoning, crisp, all complimented the home for these pies .. The crushed tomatoes, season (always my issue), not only perfect, but something im not sure i could do.. which is something i never admit. I have a big ego for no reason and this is just pizza... maybe you guys were just having a good day... but the fact that my mind was blown by a local pizza shop today is pretty humbling. Whats sad is other locals will be all "yea ive had Master Pizza, its good" when they dont understand why.

I could also be naive. Maybe the pizza in cleveland is just really damn good. New England pizza is terrible, but ive been all over.

Anyway.. thanks for the pie. And...

I’ve never left a Google review but here goes. I’ve ordered from this location multiple times. The pizza is decent and customer service wise they’ve always been pleasant until today. I ordered pizza and wings. I added extra toppings and a glaze. One side had no cheese at all and the other side was missing the glaze I ordered. When I called the store about my order a young lady with zero customer service skills answered. She said I definitely ordered it with no cheese and since in her opinion I was just missing the glaze they could give me $.50. No apology for the mistake. I know it’s just pizza but I am paying my hard earned money. For her it was pretty much too bad so sad. I’ve never in my 40 years of life ordered a pizza with no cheese. No flack if you do, but it’s not for me. When I asked to speak to the manager the girl told me no. She said the manager was “busy” and if I needed to talk to someone I could call back tomorrow. I offered to hold so hopefully this could be resolved today and she told me no. Then she just put me on indefinite hold and never came back. I’ve ordered from here quite a few times over the last few years. Usually I wouldn’t even be so upset but the young lady who answered the phone had a nasty disposition and it just made me more frustrated. We will not return. Though based on their representative I...

Local chain of pizza places with loyal followers. Their traditional style has a thicker crust. This used to be my favorite, going back to the 1980s, but it's slipped a bit, to me. My small pizza ($12.99 w 2 toppings) had too much sauce but was cooked perfectly, with a crunchy crust. Their cheese mix is delicious. I also got a side salad ($6.99), that comes with cheese and a few pepperoni slices scattered on top. Their house Italian dressing is very good, perhaps a bit sweet for some tastes. Total tab, with soda, was $22. They have coupons and give you one on the receipt good for 10 days. This Mayfield one is mostly takeout now. There is a small dining room for eat-in, but you order at the counter, and they'll bring it out. Update 10/24: Huge disappointment. The only salad you can get is large and $10. Lots of fancy pizza choices, but the taste was not the same. Staff was dismissive and slow, one asked me if I wanted a box to go because he was doing dishes. So bye-bye, a once great pizza place. Sad. Maybe take a lesson from the Melt chain and go back to your roots.

After I raved about the first pizza, I ordered again for someone who didn't believe how good I told them it was. My first pizza included extra cheese, pepperoni, green olives, mushroom and sausage(2nd pic)..This time I ordered extra cheese, mushroom, olives, sausage, extra pepperoni(didn't appear to be extra)and steak(which was barely noticeable). At 2.25 additional per topping, not at all happy for a 25 dollar medium pizza. Barely any cheese for an extra 4.50 more compared to the first pizza. No way should it have totaled this much for what I recieved. Could have gone to Pizza Hut or Papa John for a far less cheaper pizza. Probaly will not be back. The cost alone I would think it would appear as appetizing as the first pizza. I would like to personally thank the owner for reaching out quickly and correcting the issue(things happen). And I would like to give a shout out to Angie(Angela?). She was very customer-oriented and I believe she is a great asset to your company. Because of her as well as the owner I will definitely be back. Thanks to you both

I have only bought pizza from here two times. Once was over 4 years ago or maybe longer. I actually forgot all about this hidden gem! I decided to order again. Glad I did. I told the gentleman working there that it had been years since I had ordered. I guess I kinda ordered something wonky on accident. He was really nice. He also looked like Michael Shannon! Yes the pizza is expensive but that SMALL BOX has to weigh about 7 pounds. No joke. And it is delicious. Thank you!
