Very disappointed in both the service and the food. I've been here many times, but tonight may have been my last. Passed up on Taco Ole and Herradura just to walk into poor service and poor food. Our waitress brought out our choriqueso appetizer without tortillas, and without plates. I had to ask her to bring the tortillas. My wife and daughter were eating chiriqueso off of napkins. When I addressed my concern to her, she claimed she was busy with other tables. When my food came, combination plate, I could smell the spoiled fajitas before I ate them. Im not a picky eater, but I had to let the manager at the time know. When my new waitress came to give me my bill, Almost $100.00 for 3 people by the way, she told me she had talked to the manager and said he was going to discount my check. I told her that wasn't the point. I told her I wanted them to know because usually, people don't express their concern, they usually just leave and don't come back. Needless to say, when I got up to pay my bill, the manager walked away from the register, went to the back, and never returned. Poor service and poor food is why I will not be returning back to this restaurant. The prices have gotten out of hand too. Sad, because I used to praise this place. I hope Zamoras management reads this and makes some changes. It was a Friday night, and not very many people were there. That's not a very good sign for your restaurant. I hope someone starts caring, because if I feel this way, Im sure many others do to. Most people don't take time to write a review, but hopefully this will open their eyes and will make...

Zamoras' Restaurant (McColl location)

Maybe I missed something. Maybe it was due to ordering via phone. Maybe it was just the McColl location. What I do miss is the $42 I spent for a Botana. Very disappointing and here's why,

Starting with the sides: Tortillas had that typical uncooked light brown appearance. Found in most places in the valley, but not everywhere.

Rice: Dry with peas and carrots mixed in. (Tasted like box instant rice.

Beans: Beans were good to go. Tasted creamy and light.

Chips: Soaked in oil, (bottom of bag falling apart)

Salsa: Pretty good... better than most

Botana:

Grilled onions not cooked Grilled bell pepper not cooked, appeared to be thrown over heat and dumped on the plate.

Cheese: Good and melted, but centered not covering the entire dish.

Fajita:

This is the main issue. It appears they pounded out the meat to give an appearance of a big serving. There was maybe and I mean maybe .75 pounds of thin, (2/16th of an inch) meat made to look like it will feed 3 people. It appeared as if the cook threw it on the grill, removed it and didn't finish cutting it into portion sizes. A lot of the meat was crumbles of meat, which I take happen from pounding it flat. For the price of this meal and being they have two locations, you would expect more. It was my first time at this location, (McColl).

Would I go back? I'm a strong believer in folks having bad days so I'm willing to try their other location and...

Breakfast was good and it would of been better if service was good too however, i waited for over 10 minutes and my waitress, name was Nora, never returned to my table. I tried getting her and anyone else"s attention but they were all too busy talking and laughing behind the counter. needless to say my food was cold and the only one that came by was the lady that picks up the dirty dishes. so i told her to take my plate. i was waiting for tortillas but at that point i was upset that my food was cold. i paid my tab and left upset. When i got home i called and asked to speak to the manager and the girl who answered said her name was Lilly said there was no manager, so i asked to speak to the owner or co-owner, the lady that always sits in table one. Lilly said no one was there for me to speak to. I told her it was concerning an issue i just had there and she said sorry no one here for you to speak to. I told her i knew she was saying a lie cause i just saw her go in her office and she still would not let me talk to anyone. I will never eat there again, and for those of you who might think food taste is better than service, once you get the same service and end up leaving still hungry then you will feel as i do. a restaurant where the owners tell the employees not to let customers with complaints talk to managers or owners is not a good place of business. What else are...

I had not been to Zamora's for breakfast for some time, and frankly I'm left wondering if I'll ever go back. The service was totally on point, and the wait staff looked the part. All of the front of the house gets a A plus on not just service but for having clean, well pressed and maintained uniforms, to include masks with face shields. I just wish I could say the same for the decor, I remember it as being more cozy and comfortable. This cost seemed drab and cold. We ordered omelette's (dad and I) and my son ordered tht ham and egg plate( I forgot to shoot pics of the plates, sorry). The omelette's had way to much cheese and the hash browns were greasy. My son loved his plate that came with diced potatoes, refried beans, and tortillas. Overall we had a good time, and it was nice to hear my son calling my Dad "Grandpa" but for 10 dollars a plate for a mediocre omelette, with on garnish, doesn't entice me to return anytime soon. Half a thumbs up on my personal rating.

I’ve already had a bad experience at this zamoras but I decided to still give them another shot. We eat breakfast here every weekend and even order botanas whenever we have a special occasion. This past Monday we ordered a botana and as I was eating the pico, I bit into a ROCK. I called and the lady wanted pictures and said she would get back to me. She never did. I had to call back later on and some guy said I would get 20% off my next purchase and that they were going to talk to the staff. I did not want a discount. I honestly just wanted someone to say sorry and everyone I spoke with couldn’t give me that. I tried getting a hold of the owner, but was unsuccessful for 3 days straight. My tooth was sensitive for 2 days following this incident and now imagine if it was my mom or my grandparents biting into that??? Terrible customer service and this shows they do not care about their customers. I will never make the same mistake again.

Picked up a to go Order of the fajita plates. I asked What the plate came with and I was told it came with rice, beans, fajita, and guacamole and tortillas of your choice. I asked. for the fajitas to be well done And for flour tortillas on the side. I go pick up my order. The fajitas are severely undercooked. There is no guacamole on the plate and the price was more than what they had told me over the phone. Also, the tortillas were burnt to a crisp and hard as a rock that you could not eat them or fold them to make a taco. I don’t feel like there’s any point in calling to complain because they are not going to correct it. I’m very disappointed in today’s service.
