Always feels like they need one more person working there. Never good or bad.
Last time we went it took over 30 minutes to get two mochas in the drive thru. They made us feel like we did something wrong. The line was long on the south side and there wasn't any room for us to pull in without sitting in the road. We saw there was a menu and window on the north side with same amount of cars in line, but would not have to sit in the street where it would not be safe.
So, without seeing any signage saying not too, we pull to the safer side. Waiting in line for 15 minutes. Then didn't get acnowledged at the window for a while and then told we didn't order at the correct window, but would be allowed to order there and they would put our order at the end of the list and we could wait on the side. We waited there a while...Hard not to compare to good coffee companies..
I know this is probably half our fault for not being locals and knowing the lay of the land at Wild River. So, I am not giving a horrible star rating, but i think the few times we have been at Wild River haven't left the best taste in our mouth... We will be headed to the new Starbucks above Albertson's. We know the service will...
Read moremy drink came out super sour. the flavors tasted great, but the espresso left a taste in my mouth that made it undrinkable. i'm a barista myself and have managed a coffee shop in the past so i really try to give them grace but this coffee was just gross. education about quality drink preparation is a vital first step to any coffee shop's success.
also, i know this is management's fault and not at all that of the employees, but the design of the line is completely nonsensical. they have a double sided layout, but you HAVE to order on one side and pick up on the other (and if you don't understand this layout at first, there are very stern signs on the windows telling you to loop back around). this might not be so bad if it weren't for the fact that there's barely room for 3 cars to get in line on the order side, meaning that if orders take longer than two minutes to type in, the line is hanging off into the street and nobody else can get in line (and when there is only one employee working at a time, orders definitely take longer than 2 minutes to place).
side note: in 2024 and a post-pandemic world, wrapped straws are probably a good investment.
2 stars for delicious baked...
Read more$12.75 for two coffees. I should have trusted my instinct to just drive away. Are your employees polishing individual coffee beans? I got a 16oz hemp milk (75 cents extra, not complaining) Mexican Mocha that only came with one shot. "Would you like another shot?" It's a 16 oz coffee drink! Of course I want more than one shot! So that was an additional 75 cents. The other coffee was a 20oz mocha. Tasted like warm milk. Where was the chocolate, and why would you hold back at this steep price point? After tipping we spent almost $16 for two coffees. The poor quality of the mocha and lack of caffeine included in the original price equals we will never go back. I have read other reviews where Wild River Java responds that they hope you will give them another chance, but please just avoid them and give another coffee shop in town a chance. As visitors in town we were going to go to one of the coffee roasters but it was closed all day so we...
